Seriously. They pretty much said, "We've decided that people buy systems to play games, so we are going to make games that people want to buy so they will buy systems and games."
As to your question, we already know about Sony's attitude towards blogs and their audience.
It's good to know its at least possible to get matter moving at such a highly relativistic speed. Too bad it takes a collapsing star to jump start it. I'm pretty fond of the one closest to us.
I mostly agree with your sentiment, with one qualifier though. Steam is great for everything but LAN. Offline mode is really not LAN friendly, some of the multiplayer mods for HL2 refuse to even work. Even though its borderline illegal to LAN with multiple installs or whatever, its still a great way to expose other people to the games and get extra life out of them and considering its just as easy to get a hacked copy and online play never worked of pirated version before steam anyway, I think they kind of shot themselves in the foot with no real benefit.
Actually, I think songs which pretty much represented an entire movie in theme and complexity (and vice versa) really capture the zeitgeist of the 80s...
For instance, once you saw something strange in the neighborhood and realized who you were going to call, the exposition(/development of the plot) was about over.
Sorry but that's not quite right. Some modders were able to implement the "portal technology" in HL2 shortly after Valve showed off their tech demos.
Take a look
