    I don't agree with this. I didn't start to use linux until right before i started studying CS. Now I use linux every day and I've got a nice little server running linux. I would consider myself proficient with basic unix tools.

    Sudoku is a variant of the graph-coloring problem which most certainly qualifies as CS and CS probably qualifies as math. Graph-coloring (and sudoku) is NP-complete btw.

    I think demand is just about as high as it will go. Price is pretty insignificant when buying books. Most people won't read books even if they are free. Sure there may be more people who will buy a book for $1 than for $10 but not 100 times as many:P

    Easily fixed by using noscript or adblock. The advertisers only have themselves to blame, really.

    Not if excessive use where penalized. For example if the ISP used token buckets it would give a small burst of high bandwidth, high priority packets or longer burst of less bandwidth but still high priority. Excessive use could lower the priority until the bucket has been refilled.

    That's not what the article talks about. He talks about TCP package buffering, not video buffering. Queueing up tons of packages with small amounts of bandwidth gives horrible latency is the point. Not really knowledgeable about that stuff so I can't tell if he is correct in that there is a problem though.

    She'll be too closely related to have a significant probability of being sexually attracted to the singer (even in the absence of being raised together).

    Anonymous is (in this case) demanding that wikileaks be treated fairly (fair from their point of view) and protesting the scum like paypal, visa and mc cutting wikileaks off.

    The raw bandwidth from these attacks are nowhere near enough to take out anything. I believe I read that it was something like 20 MBit/s or something.

    Privacy party or integrity party would be better imho since that is the true core of the pirate party. Regardless, I don't think there is anything wrong with calling yourself the pirate party. It gives a bit of extra publicity in the beginning and people will become used the name eventually and will think nothing of it.

    Huh? I wasn't aware of the large amounts of terrorism that was occurring at that time. Are you confusing guerilla tactics with terrorism? Also, violence has rarely solved a problem without creating a bigger one.
