Then you better be wearing a vest as my Desert Eagle.50 caliber will take care of idiots like you. "Do You Feel Lucky?" and with my glasses recording, it's a slam dunk that it'll be a justified killing. Oh btw: don't even think about trying it in Texas as the courts have recognized the defence "He Needed Killing" though with Texas law, more then likely the Prosecution will award the shooter a medal for helping clean the gene pool.
Great oppurtunity for Google to roll out fiber to the area and to break Verizon's monopoly by showing them up in the state. Maybe even get the politicians to back em.
Do you really expect me to disconnect an employee computer, hull it up to my office, and reinstall there - just so I can have a standard local root password the other admins also know?
I sure as hell don't. I expect you to either push out a standard image or use PXE to boot the fucking thing and have it install the image that way with all of the employees files stored on the fucking server. As a small business owner, this is the method I prefer using with PXE boot being the 1st. I'll use a disk image for laptops unless it can be configured to PXE boot and download the damn image.
All this change does is force me to install from a master base image and remove the option for a normal install in the rare time I need it, which in reality causes me to never use their installer software more than once.
If you're doing it right to begin with, you wont be using the god damn installer anyhow as you should be either installing a standard image or using PXE to boot the system and install the fucking image.
All your bitching indicates to me is that you haven't a damn clue how to build a standard image or that you want to play with unsupported software. This affects only Fedora (RH's fucking Beta Branch) though if they incorporate the change in RH's supported version, they'll be dead within a couple of years if not sooner because of lawsuits and loosing most of their Government Certifications.
Before any of this will happen though, the shareholders will file suit and sue the idiot CEO/Chairman for violating "Fiscal Responsibility" as this is about the fastes way to kill Red Hat. Loose those Government Certifications and there isn't anywhere's in the world that a government will use their product. Hell give it enough stink and the shareholders may end up changing the Board and CEO for just that reason, gutting any compensation they would recieve (no golden parachutes).
The only thing is, the IRS Recognizes Marriage for a tax benefit and as marriage, which is a Religious Institution as most states define it, the Federal Government is then in violation of the Seperation of State and Religion provision of the U.S. Constituion - so it becomes a matter for the SCOTUS to hear.
It is also the reason that the marriage deduction (benefit) along with the married but filing seperately (penalty) have been quietely removed as the question was raised in regards to the penalty a few years back. Another element of criminal law, is that in many states, a spouse can not be forced to testify against the other and the SCOTUS has upheld that, in clear violation of the Seperation of State and Religion provisions. That's one of the reasons the SCOTUS has supposedly reversed itself in regards to forced testimony by spouses against each other.
I actually find a purse more convenient then my fucking pockets. Hell I'm pushing for unisex clothing that doesn't have pocktes to begin with so folks have to use a purse. Then we can have more bomb scares and such when someone forgets their purse/breifcase/backpack/fanny-pack or other shit. My purse/messenger bag are made from ballistic grade materials and are actually rated to protect against small arms (.45 caliber/10mm max). Fashionalbe they aint but the damn thing fills it's purpose quite well while giving me the room to carry stuff w/o having it in a pocket that's either to fucking tight or to fucking small for anything. Hell even shirt pockets aren't long enough to hold a usable pen anymore so why have em?
and yet I as a man carry a purse quite often. It does help though that I'm also carrying a Poniard and Sword with that purse so people tend not to make comments about it.
thankfully, I'm not one who gives a damn about fashion, instead preferring functionality and ease of use over it, thus I not only carry a purse when appropriate but I also use a so called "fanny pack" though I'm finding the better solution is one of the messenger bags. Fills the purse/fanny pack space issue quite nicely.
before ordering contacts, you need to be fitted and prescribed a set and before you make the comment that contacts are great, I can tell you that for some of us, they're medically inadvisable and yes I'm one of them that contacts are not an option for.
For those who can wear them, a Good pair of sunglasses work just fine as I've got friends who do wear them and Ray Bans.
Fanny Packs - Strange as I see many of them in use every damn day as they serve a functional purpose. The only reason pocket protectors died out wasn't from nerds but the fact that ball point pens don't tend to leak like Fountain Pens and Yes, I still use Quill and Ink at times.
I'm the same way but I've gone even further. I no longer buy anything at all due since I'm one of those FLOSS Neck Beards - Yep I don't even buy shaving cream/soap/blades anymore and the main reason, I can't afford them due to health reasons. God Damn Health care in the states. If you aint rich or covered by some type of health plan, you damn well better not get sick because it'll cost you over $100k for anything serious (requires ambulance/paramedics)
Then you're using noscript the wrong way. Instead, use a whitelist of those places you need scripting active and block everyone else by default. Far easier on the system then the other way. Another issue is that firefox gets slower and slower to start/shutdown along with unstable the more you add to the blocked sites. The solution I found that works the best is a combination. I use the Noscript list to build a host file and block at that level. It's more effective and actually protects more of the system since it's a system wide blocking instead of being limited to firefox only. This is very important when on a system with a second browser such as IE/Safari/Konqueror/Opera or any other.
actually, video editing doesn't really benefit from a discrete GPU since the damn encoding support is still crap. Most of the various software I've looked at still get more bang from a better CPU then GPU encoding and if you're in the industry like ILM/Pixar, then you aint using GPU encoding anyhow - its mainly dedicated ASICS and such. For someone doing it as a hobby, they're buying a video card specifically supported by their software so it makes no god damn difference to 99.99 percent of the folks out there that onboard graphics suck.
In my case, small business owner; I've been planning a new build for 4th quarter (part of my 4yr replacement cycle) based on a Xeon E3 1275 with onboard graphics because the system purpose doesn't need much in the way of a GPU. It's a development system (builds and Database work) so why waste money. Hell all of my employees systems are onboard graphics just to save a few bucks that's better spent on more ram or a slightly better cpu. As with anyone, trade-offs are required when building/specing our systems and as a business, we tend to go with the cheapest configurations we can get. Keep in mind that the cheapest configuration does not mean the cheapest parts. We learned a long time ago that spending a bit more for quality hardware resulted in less downtime.
Bullshit if it's the PowerVR crap - no opensoruce drivers at all. Check it out before you make a blanket statement but I will agree for their HD series (which the Iris is simply an improvement of) they do offer a compelling reason to consider if going the Open Source route.
Nope. It's fraudulent missuse of computer resources (Mine). and no, I didn't download their crapware but if I had and they got caught lying to me twice, I'd charge em with the federal crime of Fraudulent Missuse of Computer Resources along with suing their asses off for the same reason and No I wouldn't go for a class action status and if the lawyer was to suggest it, I'd kick em to the curb as they're not working for me, instead for themselves.
The only way you can state that "each tab in the browser is another thread" is if you're not using firefox. Even on 20.1, they still don't have that and a single bad tab can and does take the entire browser down. Hell even IE 9 finally got it straight with tabs. Doesn't handle too many tabs at once but it runs each one i a seperate thread. Just like Chrome does. Opera does the same AFAIK (don't use it). You're right about background tasks and such though as the multithread performance of an AMD CPU is far better then Intel's unless you're into the Xeon's.
radeon 5670 with 512m onboard (cost from newegg when bought $90) plays GW, SC and all the other games Iv'e thrown at it quite handily. Will have probs if game is is heavily tesserected but that's the only time it's a prob and I run 1900x1080 (monitor native rez) and the funniest thing is - the new radeon drivers support the damn thing while my 7300GT is no longer supported by either Nvidia or Linux, even with the god damn nouveua and nv driver. The reason I still have the old Geforce 7300GT - it's fanless so don't have to worry about it dying from overheating.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, what AMD is doing is pushing the APU as the new FPU. That's right. Once they get things completely revamped, you're going to be looking at a CPU that outperforms Intels best by quite a bit in the next decade.
and part of the reason they got off their asses was Intel demo'd that 100core cpu. How about having 12 or more of them if they're low-power (ARM range) but full x86_64 compat?
Yep and it's about as usable as an LFS (linux from scratch) build is. No package manager and not much more then the damn shell (bash).
As a gentoo user, I'm considering starting with an LFS build after converting portage from python over to pure "C" as LFS does include enough of the toolchain to build things.
why in hell should I use an "N" router when everybody and their clan has one in my neighborhood? I've found that sticking with the "B" band works better, gives me a longer range and I don't suffer all the stinking interference that everyone using "N" does. Hell it's the same reason I switched back to a 900Mhz cordless phone. Better range and a lack of interference from all the other hardware crapping on the 5Ghz band (shit N routers).
As someone who might purchase this, I'd be willing to pay more for the so-called cracked version as it adds a very interesting feature to the game. This one may bite them in the ass as people learn about the free version that includes more official content - so why pay for it?
it's just to bad that it doesn't fire an actual bullet into their foot or at least zap em good when they screw up. Might help educate some of those damn PEBKAC issues
/var (used to hold variable files such as logs, the mail and printer spools). Yep that's just one of the things I thought about as I'm in the process of doing a Clean install of Gentoo in a chroot on a Gentoo system. It's chroots all the way down
and with caller id being regullarly spoofed, they were correct. I get calls supposedly coming from the State Senate Building, the God Damn White House, Washington Monument and other locations so caller ID has become damn near useless unless you know the phone number they're calling from. For a company with dial in accounts, Caller ID is damn near useless because it's simply more data to either look at or to keep.
The problem with English is that it's borrowed words from so many different languages that the spelling rules are attrocious. As to learning to speak the language, with a meager 33 sounds (diph tongs) it's actually one of the easiest to learn unlike any of the tonal (mandarin, cantonese, japanese, swahili) to name just a few of them. It's this limited sounds that makes it very easy to learn to speak.
Too reelee understand the problem, U need too look at english foenetically. Keep en mind that it brakes all of the rules spelling it as it sownds.
Screws up your parsing of what I wrote doesn't it. Only thing is, it's phonetically correct. Look again and sound it out. It just might make enough sense to simply toss out the damn spelling rules and base the spelling on actual pronunciation even if it causes many of us to pull our hair out.
