It's about bloody time. When i bought Half-Life 2 i assumed that the popular MODs would make it on to Steam. I hardly play any of my Steam games anymore however being able to install and play MOD without having to search them out is just the ticket for a casual gamer like me...
I couldn't agree more. I thought I'd give seti a run again a couple of weeks ago after a few years absence. Getting boinc up was too much. I've been using gentoo for about 8 years and the last 4-5 years as my main desktop so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing, it is just too many steps to go through to help someone else abuse my resources...
"Piratebay is hardly private, although I think your response is a bit of a troll-if they were doing that...." Although no-one is likely to listen I can attest that it would indeed seem Piratebay is doing just what the grandparent of this says. Download a few torrents from them and find out the hard way....
Also, I'd like to know how to NASA will solve a few problems that jump to mind. The communication hubs are only useful if they are close to the sending spacecraft. The hubs can not be put halfway earth and a planet, because of the planets rotation around the sun. So the hub would have to circle around a planet in order for future missions to that particular planet can use it.
But then NASA faces the following problems: on planets with an atmosphere, the hubs will tend to fall to the surface, so in many cases they need fuel to keep their altitude.
Secondly, the hub will only be visible from one side of the planet at the time.
Thirdly, the hub needs power, where to get it from for an extended period of time? Or are the hubs only short lived? In that case, why bother at all?
I'm no expert but wouldn't some Lagrange points & a Solar powered ion engine solve your problems?
Could someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Cliff Burton video was primarily made up of BOOTLEG footage obtained from Metallicas fans. Shouldn't they have sued them? Oh it was a different story then 15 years or so ago before they sold out.
I think the CD burning is a good idea, probably not enough publicity in that though. So what I going to do is send my Metallica CD's back to Metallica & tell them they can shove'em up the backdoor. I think if enough people did this they may wake up to themselves. Remember the Cliff video & Lars etc saying "We'll never do a film clip, because it's too commercial", they're hypocrites.
Congratulations on getting such obvious flamebait moderated "Interesting".

I have 3 cars, one recently "serviced". Does that make me a mechanic or even an expert on cars?
I dunno what it is...
Yet your going to give us your 30000 word opinion on what you don't know anyway.

Where did it say we have to wait 600 years before being able to land on it?
In 600 years it will be in orbiting the Earth!
