  1. I can only imagine.. on Parsec Demo For Linux Released · · Score: 1

What it feels like when you use that inner ear device that lets you feel the motion on this game..:)

A thrill that afterwards could only be described as a drink too much.

ohw shit yeah :) it should say something like "future site of games4linux" though.. it's going to be nice with anime-style graphics, I have piles of work before me, after I finish that the site will be priority #1. (and you're right I will make a nice looking page as soon as I get the time).

Remember the story about the Trojan horse?

"install media player as root" then the program totally messes up the system, for "optimalisation" purposes.. next thing you know your system is as buggy as a smartupdated version of win98.

Guess who will be the big winner?...

    Cool initiave though.. :)

  6. Another approach... on Optical Black Holes in the Lab · · Score: 1

''If a sufficiently fast-spinning vortex of these or similar materials could be created, light inside the fluid could lose maneuverability and become trapped in the vortex'' Hmmm sounds like a different approach of making light emitting fluids like the jellyfish dna-method. :)

  7. Webcams to can improve space-awareness :) on On to Mars · · Score: 1

They should definately place webcams aboard of all manned spaceflights, I would for sure watch it live on the internet and many other people as well. I think this would improve the general thought about spacemissions, when people can actually "participate" by watching the crew live. Maybe nasa could ask a subscriptionfee for this and raise more money this way.. the cams are already there, only they're not linked to the internet yet.. Place cams in the earth control section as well so people can witness everything, and they might get a better image about where their taxmoney goes instead of watching an 100million movie about appollo 13..

  10. More costs for rentalstore and for us.. on Self-Destructing DVDs: Son of DIVX · · Score: 1

Normally the rental store buys some dvd's (about $20-$30 a piece) and hires them to the people for $1-$6.. So now they want 'em to buy a new disposable dvd every time someone wants to hire it. Let's see, the disposable dvd's won't come cheap since they are manufactured over again every time so they will be at least cost the rental store $3-$6 a piece. So if they want to maintain the current profit margain on the dvd they have to turn up the rental price on their "disposable" dvd.. More money will flow directly into the arms of the big moviecompanies this way, they'll get a fee everytime. And less money will go to the rental stores, and more money will come out of the pockets of the consumers.. and lets not forget the company that has the patents for disposable dvd's..

  11. Shortsight of the e-generation. on MSNBC: Stealing Credit Card Numbers Online is Easy · · Score: 1

Let's be on the e-train seems to be the motto these days. A oneway ticket to the cash-station.
Most are ignorant and others just seem to forget it, there's no such thing as a m$ cash-station, the train is driving but the windows are falling out. Be sure to wear your m$ seatbelt otherwise you might not survive the destined crash.
So-called e-commerce experts seem to focus on the cash and the cash only - security of their customers creditcard id's and other data is neglected because of the costs, a lesson ms teached them. Well I hope there's going to be a test trail to sort out somesort of law protecting the people from them.

  12. Hey, I want those nano-devices! on New Antiviral May Cure Common Cold · · Score: 1

    Remember those thiny robots?
Vision those little bastards entering your bloodstream in about 10 years from now. Custom programmed by a thiny central computerunit they fight diseases and keep your body in optima forma. This unit could be upgraded once in a while to gain the latest knowledge about virusses/bacteria and other threats to your earthly shell.
What about security you may think?
Someone could give your unit some false descriptions and gain root-access at your shell.. Well maybe somesort of dna-encryption algorithem could be used in combination with a 3d polymerstring based identity tag.. Hopefully this gives you some thoughts.

  13. Opening some new doors to some? on Next Version of Jazz++ to be Open Source · · Score: 1

I'm a musician, and used to ($500) cubase, only thing is with the crappy steinberg company, they are a little bit slow in developing also I don't seem to have another choice than windows with my pc for my sequencing. So I remind myself to save a lot in hope the computer doesn't reset.. I think this might help people to switch to a more stable environment (excuse me: stable) and it'll help to develope new sequencer-apps aswell, this is a good step forward and I'd like to enjoy the future fruits of this.
