We here at YouTube are all about free speech. We like it so much we are an outlet for free speech.
Starting immediately, we have implemented a policy so that things are kept fair and balanced around here for the First Amendment. Every time you request a certain video/user removed just because you don't like what they have to say, not only will their account/video be deleted, but an account/video that advocates your point of view will also deleted.
There will be some dissent over this policy in the short term. However, in the long term it will serve to stop filling our email boxes full of whining complaints and petty bullshit.
For those wanting to play the DMCA card where it doesn't belong, we have also instituted a policy of banning your IP so that we don't have to listen to your illiterate ass.
Play nice in the sandbox and make YouTube a thing that all can enjoy!
That extra $88 may in deed be the deal-breaker. Many companies rely on psychological pricing in order to lure customers into thinking that they are getting a good deal on a product. In this case, they should have touted "the $200 laptop for all". Then $188 may seem like an even better deal by comparison.
The new silicon carbide differential amplifier integrated circuit chip may provide benefits to anything requiring long-lasting electronic circuits in very hot environments such as jets, spacecraft, and industrial machinery... ...and the exhaust system of my car.
In the Dell case, what gets me is how they would preinstall Linux on a desktop and then stop supporting it right out of the gate due to the OS. Maybe I forgot the point of the original article. It has been a few months.
I've seen this before. As a matter of fact, most of us have. Dell did the same thin and had an uprising of Ubuntu users and eventually caved. We all know how this will end.
I recall someone saying on here that those who hate M$ use Linux and those who love Linux use BSD. I don't know if there is any truth to that. I enjoy what M$, Linux, BSD and Mac all bring to the table.
I'm also a firm believer that the First Amendment is meant to restrict the government and not businesses. Facebook and other sites like it have every right to remove inflammatory content in order to keep their clientèle. I was just applauding them for being an outlet for free speech.
I don't agree with the group in question necessarily, but they have a right to say what they want in whatever outlet they want. It's just the outlets also have a right to be the gatekeepers.
This raises another question. Shouldn't these websites have something in their ToSs that defines what are considered to be actionable offenses when it comes to groups like the one in the article?
I'm glad they put that group back up. It's not that I'm a bigot or anything. I just believe the old mantra that the freedom to criticize or hate is the greatest freedom.
Yes it will suck to have yet another popular site with annoying video ads that probably take priority when the page loads. But there is something you can do about it. There are browser add-ons that block such unwanted stuff. I mean, I haven't had a single banner ad interrupt my browsing on/. or any other site in months!
Mod parent up! I said STM in a previous reply to someone else. And as for the expense part, you think the Federal Government cares about expense? Now that would be a first!
Does this surprise anyone?

It isn't any good. In fact, it's so worthless, it isn't really worth the powder to blow it to Hell!
I wanted one the first time I saw one regardless of price. (The EEE that is.)

How is this practical? I mean, sure I hate the 15 minute drive to work, but it's not worth my life and the money to shave a few minutes off of that.
Wasn't the Photonic Thruster invented by Gene Roddenberry?
I, for one, welcome our old eye cancer giving overlords!
So that's where bombs come from! I thought they just fell out of the sky or something.
The US has the MOAB and Soviet Russia has the FOAB. What's next? The Child Of All Bombs?
...and the exhaust system of my car.

Ahhh! I forgot to take wind resistance into account. Thanks buddy!
Don't forget the slotted and cross-drilled drive platters! Or the .002" shaved, high-compression CPU socket! All are must have performance options!

This is a Dawson post... take it with a shaker of salt.
