First of all, it is a TV, with moving pictures. We need less resolution for flickering frames than we need for static images. Secondly, 5-6MP are enough if you look at the whole picture (literally), final size does not matter, be it a postcard or building. It's only when you want to examine a small details of the picture, you need more pixels, therefore the landscape photographers use all the megapixels they can get. But for TV or projection, it is just plain silly. The coolness factor is high, though.
3-4 sizes/forms for laptops, 3 types for cameras, (which is my pet peeve, I've got 3 types of very similar batteries, but each has its own connectors. (Canon/Olympus/Nikon)). Small/flat for compact, larger for larger cameras, and big one for cameras with vertical grips. Camcorder batteries seems to be very similar too.
The CF standard is beginning to show its age. SD cards are close in capacity, and definitly faster. You also don't have any pins to bend in your camera.
Another splash screen? We need that just as much as we need sarcasm detector. Give me adjustment layers. I'm hooked on those in photoshop. Levels, curves, colour, contrast etc...
There is no money in that, you could just take simple off-the-shelf AC and put it in the Hummvee! How are we supposed to make money on it that way? Are you a communist or something?
If you can think outside the Canon/Nikon box you should check out the Olympus E-500 2 lens kit. Best SLR bang for the buck. You get 2 lens kit for less money than the R1. And it is not much heavier.
With the laywer(s) salary, the company could probably hire a cleanup crew for a week and really put a positive spin on this story. "Look, we REALLY care about the environment". "We listen to people"... but noooo, let's release the hounds, show that we are just faceless corportaion that doesn't give a shit about anything but the bottom line. And our laywers have to look busy, or they will lose their $160.000 jobs and company cars...

They really don't get it, do they...
A: On a pile of money.
...if you don't share it between your PC and Mac.
Thank for that link. Now I only need Photoshop (or better Gimp) and I can kiss Windows goodbye forever!

How long until printers have DRM? How long until old-style printing press will be declared illegal? The Right to Read
How many of you have sold your PS2?
I'm sorry.
(Not really)

Can I copy this and post elsewhere? (I don't want to blow the irony detector by posting this without permission) :)
Just about what I was going to say. If Picasa and Google desktop are anything to judge by, Google OS could finally make Linux usable.
But will Sony allow me to borrow it from a friend?

Where is Rendezvous with Rama? Morgan Freeman has been 'producing' it since 2000 or something. What is happening?

Podcasting... Can I throw up now?
They invented microwave oven?
Thankfully, the best part of it (Live queries) are being reborn in OSX's Sherlock.
It's like iTunes for all your files.
