Yes, for such purposes (purely data traffic) it is used also in Norway and Sweden for wireless broadband (using the same 450 MHz band), but that has no bearing on using it for both voice and data. Which would be Apple's products' forte.
One of the products FTP Software were to sell was Vermeer Technologies' Frontpage web page editor. But just as the boxes were shipping, Vermeer was bought by Microsoft and they had to put stickers on the boxes saying "Now Microsoft Frontpage"...
(I worked at a company selling network software at the time, including FTP Software's products.)
There is no law that says there can be only one DNS root. If the Governments start censoring domain names, a competing DNS structure will arise, e.g. based from OpenDNS or some other entity.
I wonder when the Government are going to disconnect the member studios of MPAA from "Hollywood accounting", and the WTO are going to disconnect them from the price fixing and market segregation they have gotten away with when it comes to the DVD and Blu-ray region systems.
Evolution is a cornerstone of biology. It has been observed to occur countless times, and has no reputable alternative explanations. During the 150 years passing since the publication of Darwin's works, the theories have been refined from his early observations, reflecting discoveries like genes and retroviruses. It is in fact as established a theory as gravity.
But you will probably rather have your child taught the fairy-tales taught around campfires by desert nomads...
None: Since increase in software piracy and reduction in infant mortality has happened at roughly the same time, my pseudo-scientific mind concludes there is a correlation. So your act of piracy might have saved a life!
If I distribute a GPL game engine, and then somebody redistributes that engine with assets to make a game, then those assets are not just data, but instead an integral part of the program that must also be under the GPL.
NOT integral: separate. The Program (to use the GPL term) reads the files at runtime, and there is a bundle that includes them with the program/binary, but they are separate works in a copyright sense. The assets are not a "derived work" of the program. I think you need to read the license again.
Are you saying that a bundle cannot consist of separate works under different licenses? You are making the "viral" argument opponents to GPL like so much...
The pirates have - through their agreement with Apple - declared that they have rights which they do not. However, Apple cannot be expected to match the work against all other works in existence to see if it is a copyright violation. So it is not knowingly on Apple's part - they provide a sales channel for which they charge a percentage.
Assets here are runtime data, not source code. If I wrote a GPL application that read an RSS feed from some newspaper, that would not put that RSS content under the GPL. The GPL would apply to the program (binary and source) and not necessarily to all elements of a particular bundling of the program and some other files it would be reading at runtime (GPL v2 does not really care about what happens at runtime since it is not an EULA)). The program and, say, a PNG file it reads are different works in a copyright sense, so yes, they CAN be separated out.
You have zero understanding of evolution (which has been observed in nature multiple times) and there is no relationship between that and Newton's "laws" (which are also THEORIES. There are no LAWS of nature.)

Not that many will (until the new phone this summer) - since it involves getting a different phone. Presumably the iPhone 5 will be dual GSM+CDMA when it appears.
What is search engine optimization to a corporation is search result poisoning to users.
Then again, an opportunity arises for a smaller non-SEO-attacked search engine to rise and take Google's place like Google took Altavista's.

There is a reason Apple is trying to kill GSM and pick up CDMA
Way to read way too much into the release of the Verizon iPhone (which happens to have a dual GSM/CDMA chip in it).
GSM is a worldwide standard, CDMA is used in what, three countries?
Yes, they will learn how Microsoft Plays, 4 Sure.

Sorry, but backup will be added to WP7S in a later release. Cut and paste currently has higher priority.
Xoom is Motorola's Android tablet, HP's WebOS tablet is TouchPad.

I wish people would stop calling a certain OS "Windows 7". It identifies itself as Windows Vista 6.1.

Religions are to philosophy what TV dinners are to cooking.
No, the Catholic church has accepted evolution (it did take them a while to stop relying on Archimedian science though).
This is the protestants, protesting. Again.

In geography class, I intend to question the existence of these "Kansas" and "New Mexico" thingamabobs. Because they are not mentioned in the Bible...

Keep the Borg motif, but use Steve Ballmer.
No, parents are the CARETAKERS of children, not their OWNERS. You do not "own" other humans. Children are not toys.

For fu*k's sake, check the dates of your links! The C64 app has been available in the iOS app store for ages now!

That would be nice.
