  1. nerd warfare on North Korea Now Making Missile-Ready Nuclear Weapons, US Analysts Say (washingtonpost.com) · · Score: 3, Interesting

This is a tech website. What are some tech related ways in which we could respond ? Aside from spreading viruses to their centrifuges, maybe we could drop 1000s of satellite communicators down to the NK people, sure some would get lost, others fall into government hands, but if only a few fall into the hands of an internal "resistance" it could help gather intelligence or spread western news.

They would not have to be high bandwidth, I'm thinking something like 2-way twitter (but keep it away from POTUS !)

I don't care if Amazon has its own labels.

What I care about is when I buy a product and come to suspect later that that the company selling it didn't have any intention of shipping the order. They presumaby just deceived Amazon into passing the order to them so they can collect the money upon feigning shipping the goods using apparently fake tracking numbers and hope that they don't always have to refund the money.

I have to wonder how many people actually follow through and claim their money back, presumably not 100% and even then at least they get to keep your money for a few weeks

My weight has increased since I gave up (and no, I have not started drinking full fat coke). My problem is the usual too many calories in / too few expended. Anecdotally of course I can't say that the diet coke was my downfall so far as weight is concerned.

I'm not sure these people are republicans or democrats, so much as easily-swayed people who are susceptable to the war on the meaning of words that has probably always gone on.

This mixes with a peculiar form of "sour grapes" from people who may not have had a chance to get into a university (and that somehow feel they don't benefit from there being doctors, engineers and politicians that did) to make a fertile environment for an irresponsible opportunist to swing a wrecking ball against what truly makes the country great

It's time that responsible politicians called out this cheap attempt to stir outrage to win votes to the detriment of the country. If there is an argument to be made that universities and free thought benefit humanity, I hold the politicians that are too lazy to make that case as much to blame as the cynics that tear us down.

I thought the states ran their own elections to choose electoral college members and the EC members voted at the national level for president. It's the presidential election that has triggered the most concern, but I'm sure there is concern about house and senate, perhaps even state level seats too, but these are all issues that affect how each state is represented and are proper matters for a state to research (perhaps with support from the federal gov).

This attempt by the administration to fish for anything they might use to bolster their fantasy that Trump won the popular vote has nothing to do with a search for the truth.
