    Well Flash has been around since 1996 where as of April 2010 HTML5 is still at Working Draft stage in the W3C. So maybe we are at the 'drop-in replacement' stage now but that hasn't been the case throughout Flash's rather long history.

    If Adobe can't build Flash to fit within the constraints of the device, then too bad.

    Given the constraints aren't technical but political then the chances that Flash could jump through the requisite hoops are zero.

    Which part of the word 'and' is confusing you?

    FYI: The word 'and' is monosyllabic and therefore consists of only one 'part'. If you presume that this word is confusing the GP then maybe you could have taken the next intuitive step and insinuated that it is the whole word that is causing issues and not any 'part' of it. Unfortunately by not making this leap you are proving yourself to be a bit of a forum noob.

    and as an addendum - the article authors have patently never tried cocaine - I like a cheeseburger as much as the next dude but to say that the hit is anything like cocaine is a bit like saying "I don't know what I am talking about - ignore me and everything I say!". And I know 'hit' is not a synonym for 'affects the brain' but if the implication is that the sensation of one is akin to the sensation of the other then the implication is wrong, and not by degrees either!

    They'll make their use mandatory because it results in zero crime. Or so they'll say.

    Given that this is extremely unlikely it sort of makes the rest of your post redundant. Even if I wore these multi-faceted, augmented reality, net aware, government monitored eye wear I could easily just take them out. You know, like regular contact lenses. And as to your nightmare scenario of a future 1984, please remember that the vast majority of people on this planet are not even on the net and unless and until we alter the economic framework on which we distribute wealth this ain't gonna change anytime soon!
