Yes thats right another one, go ahead and hit "Chat Now" you get a pretty Netscape Error window with a big Microsoft logo in it telling you to upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 4.0. Would it really be that hard to write a java chat app that doesn't require IE?
Actually, i know power would really be the concern here. The amount really isn't an issue, people modifed Palm Pilots meant to have only 1meg or memory to have upto 10megs
It has baffled me for years as to why we continue to make faster personal network medium when todays hardrives can't handle it. It's nice to see that someone finally took it up to create solid state hard drives. In this industry we have being seening bigger(hard drives) and faster(processors) emerge over real innovation. It's refreshing to see that companies such as Transmeta and Platypus are working in the background comming out with new concepts instead of the old bigger faster
In this sort of thing one might look at the BSD license, while not as forgiving as GPL it will still let you use maintain the whole open source thing but will also allow your company to use the code in closed source projects for monetary gain.
The easiest way to use the BeOS5 free version in your situations would be to download the linux tarball from ftp.be.com. What it is, is an image of the BeOS filesystem and already has on the applications and such installed. It also comes with a boot disk image which you can use to load it. Since you'll be using a boot disk, lilo won't even load. Much easier than booting into windows everytime you wanna play with BeOS.
The fact of the matter is, it's out there now. If the criminals are going to copy DVDs they are just going to do it now that they can. They are going to be more aggresive than ever now that someone wants to stop them. Why ruin it for all the people that want to use the software for a legal purpose, so I can watch DVDs on my UNIX machines and others can do the same. So we can make backups of our movies if anything ever happens to the physical disk. Going after the people that wrote it is useless now

I've also done this before, if you register you get your choice of three decrotive license plates. There's LINUX, TRU64, and one other one, i got my linux one via fedex today (os. they don't charge for shipping)

A) It only works with 32k ROMs(the demo version at least), which are pretty old.
B) Even 32k ROMs are so slow on it that they are unplayable, you get almost 1 fps.
C) They recommend AfterBurner, games are still unplayable with it.
