Same in Thailand. In a shopping mall called "Siam Paragon", lots of these cams are installed right above the plasma screens. Some of which you can even interact with what's being on the screen.

Well since when that AT&T is a European company? They will text you ONLY if your provider is in the EU. Like Vodafone in France or T-Mobile in Germany for example. This doesn't count AT&T users who are using T-Mobile in Germany. I'm using a Thai number. Whenever I roam abroad... I always get "Hello! Welcome to XXXXX. Hope you have a great time there". And yes, it didn't tell me the rates.

This is too much! Someone should do something with Australia's data allowance per month first. 2GB a month for $29 is just ridiculous.

Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia really needs to work on this since their governments all claimed that smart ID cards are so convenient that they can use it to replace ATMs and train tickets.

  7. Re:The problem is not ID card themselves on Australia Scraps National ID Plan · · Score: 1

The funny thing is that we, in Thailand, have these RFID cards which hold every information including names, DOB, signature, finger prints... but the thing is we never have to use it. The main use is just actually to identify yourself before going in to bars or buy alcohols or when election. The most common method to use is actually "photocopying". The RFID is never used outside of Bangkok. But I guess it would be different if this kind of card is used in more developed countries.

Agree. I really hate it when Americans think they're the only ones that matter. Anyway this problem isn't something new. Thai ISPs have been doing for almost 2 years now, but only to international BitTorrent traffic.
