"the fastest fighter planes barely crack Mach 1.6"
Or so they tell us. I'm pretty sure that the actual, classified, top speed of the F-22 is above Mach 2.

She not only landed in snow, but Vesna Vulovic was still inside the center section when found. I think that she should be disqualified since even though it's not a terribly good one, the center section would have acted as a parachute and slowed her terminal velocity as well as added padding for the landing.
What's the highest anyones survived with no help at all?
I think this might have also happened to me, I just didn't put two and two together until I heard your story. I've ordered a few things from Shentech in the past (couple years ago) and had reasonably good service from them. Then one day I got a bill for a large shipment of t-shirts to an address in NY. I simply called up UPS and got them to dismiss the charges and forgot about it. I got a second bill a little while later but I just called a second time and I've never heard from them since.
It's utterly unbelievable to me that they would be doing this, especially if it's so easy to trace it to them through the address. I always thought they were a little shady, I didn't realize they were based in NY though. Seems most of the electronic retailers in that area are corrupt.
I've always thought that a cool idea would be to mount something like this facing backwards in your trunk. Get into a chase, cops come up behind you, hit the switch and blam! no more cops. I had originally conceived the idea using a directional EMP but this would work almost as good.
This works in the real world as well. The easiest way to get information out of somebody is to tell them something that they know is wrong because they will immediately correct you. It's a common social engineering trick.
Social Engineer: "Hi I need to get to John Doe's office, room 23."
Receptionist: "John Doe's office is room 42"
Social Engineer: "Oh I'm sorry thank you."
This just worked for me. I have never touched my language settings before so they were set to English(US). I changed them to UK and said no when it asked if I wanted to change the language of my other Google apps. Still had no IMAP so I reverted back to US English and what do you know there's IMAP!
Quite a few people showed up for the size of the town (at least 20). Zonk was hosting and was very friendly, got to talk about games with him for a bit. He brought plenty of t-shirts for everybody and some thinkgeek catalogs to hand out. I couldn't stay for very long but it was fun while I was there.
There are three parts of Windows Desktop search that I can see
WindowsSearch.exe
Windows Search Service
Windows search Deskbar
To disable #1 you can create a software restriction policy. Follow the instructions for creating a Hash Rule here. Using a hash is best because it will work no matter where the application is launched from though you may have to update the policy if someone installs a newer version. More info on Software policies can be found here
You might not actually want to disable #2 because I'm not sure yet if it was installed by Desktop search 3.01 or if it was originally part of XP. XP has an indexing service that's turned on by default and is used by the normal search box. I've never had much problems with it before but I also never use it so I turn it off. You'll have to decide for yourself.
Click Computer Configuration, click Windows Settings, click Security Settings, and then click System Services.
Right click on "windows search" and select properties.
Check the box for "Define this policy setting" and then select Disabled.
For #3 I'm not sure yet how to disable it but I'm pretty sure the most it would take is a custom ADM file with the proper registry edits. Not sure what those would be yet but shouldn't be too hard. It also might just go away when you disable #1.
TiVo's have almost always had the ability to get the guide data over broadband. You just need to buy a network adapter and configure the TiVo. They have wired and wireless versions.

Whoops, inexperienced mod here. That's funny at all, pretty sad really.
Has no one heard of FrontMotion Firefox Community Edition?

I would agree with you if I thought Bush was doing any leading.

If anyone has a better method let me know.

I agree, Windows Vista is not that bad, "on the hole". Which is exactly where you can stick it.
