That actually looks half decent. They got the 'ooo fancy' look down at any rate, we'll see about functionality. Still, it's more than NASA's done in the past 20 years.:P A lot of you are posting as if it were a small backwater project because it's based in new mexico, but if you think about it an isolated location is ideal for such an installment. If something goes wrong there is lots of big empty desert to crash into, no windows to break if for some reason you had to go supersonic speeds near the ground, and I imagine the noise level created as suborbital planes hit the boosters would not be appreciated in a densely populated area. Give this place half a chance and it might turn out pretty sweet!
Well, I usually don't play games during work, but I must admit I almost always have IRC on. ^^; Now, I don't chat all day and not get work done, but I do alt+tab into it from time to time... yeh, I'm an IRC junkie.
Didn't you know in the MS development room, 'Linux' is considered profanity? It is referred to as "the-operating-system-which-must-not-be-named." Oh no! people are using "you-know-what" on their servers! Darn them all to heck!;)
Actually, I consider myself libertarian (or something very similar) and I still think 911 services should be controlled by the government. Although I agree with the ideal of as little government control as possible, I still realize that things such as 911 services are necessary. I also agree with demachina that taxes for a defensive army is necessary but our current military forces are quite excessive. Our current government seems to think that the marines are the police of the world. You seem to be mistaking libertarians for anarchists.
Considering how Intel is raping AMD in the mobile and desktop market, I'm not sure if I can believe these 'tests.' AMD really has nothing to compete with Intel's conroe CPUs. They had their time as king of the hill when Athlon 64 was where it was at. Nowadays though, Athlon x2's really suck when compared to Core 2 Duos. The same goes for Opteron vs. conroe Xeon I expect.
Maybe valve should join id and jump on the openGL bandwagon. Source engine is probably the best directx game engine there is, but in my opinion, openGL 2.1 graphics look better than dx10 graphics. OpenGL is also backwards compatible because new openGL games still work fine on crappy windows openGL 1.0. Maybe for their next game engine... whenever that happens.
Haha, same here. Sucks the black box got nuked, but my gf did want a copy of hl2. Guess this would be a good time! See you in the beta...

Ahh, that makes sense. Good thinking.
