It probably didn't fail but got out of spec. The way a MAF sensor works is that when it gets coated with something like oil it starts to get inaccurate readings because the coating changes the heating/cooling rate of the wire used in the sensor. As another poster has mentioned there are chemicals that work for cleaning the MAF sensor. CRC makes some wonderful products and I would recommend it, granted it is a bit expensive for a can of MAF sensor cleaner but it is much cheaper than buying a new MAF sensor. I also have a vehicle with a K&N air filter and have noticed similar things. The permanent fix is to clean your filter and give it a lighter coating of oil. From the factory they are just caked in it I only coat the outward facing side of the filter with oil as the air flow will drive the oil into the filter but not much or any makes it past the filter.
I have tired using data.gov to try to get the GIS data for the trails in national parks, I also tried the national parks service without any luck. So it isn't just sensitive info that is impossible to get.
So you believe that the federal government should be taking my tax dollars away from me, my state, and my local government to pay for some other state's or local government's problems. The problems you listed are local issues that are best handled by local or state government not the monster that is the federal government. Should the federal government bail out states that piss away money on expensive toys like new sports stadiums instead of taking care of the real issues in the state. Last summer the Minnesota state government shut down for a couple of weeks and most people didn't notice unless they lost their state park reservations.
Some of us do try and rein in our government. Problem is more people don't care or think it makes them better off. If you fly enough I am sure you have heard people say "what ever it takes to keep me safe" or something similar which is a perfect example of the problem.
I bet you can even tell where it parked after it has left as those British cars have been known to "mark their territory". With the amount of rust they develop even if it rains with the top down the car probably drains just fine. My midget isn't too rusty compared to other MGs but it still needs lots of body work compared to other collector cars. They are a riot to drive though good handling even with original suspension parts and a good power to weight ratio in stock trim and lots of room for improvement with modern components.
Granted the Divine Comedy was rather repetitive but the imagery conjured up is what I liked most. It might have been that I was lucky enough to have had a teacher who knew all of the necessary background info to get the most out of it (as well as the rest of the classics) but still it is a book of historical significance. Comparatively Shakespeare 's works are less deep and don't develop as much. Granted they targeted towards an entirely different medium, time, and class of people so I am not trying to knock Shakespeare's work. It would be much like trying to compare the literary merits of the C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy to the works of Gilbert and Sullivan.
I was lucky enough to have read it in high school and to have a teacher who could explain and provide the necessary background information to fully understand it. Granted that was years ago but one of the things that I remember is one day he was talking about one pope and how he was considered at the time to be awful. If you had kept up with the outside of class reading you understood when the same pope was mentioned in the Divine Comedy as being in the replica baptistry of Pisa in hell upside down as Dante was indicating that the mentioned pope was actually an anti-pope. Dante also seemed to have a love of ironic punishments like the punishment for the hoarders and wasters, or those who committed the sin of lust.
for the vehicle of the future is this what you are thinking of, or might it have been this one of a more recent design?
As a side note I have an old large tiller that has the same engine as second vehicle listed and is probably from the same era. The tiller has the 12hp engine and still runs great even though it is probably 35 years old.
Had I known about that stunt I would has used it to try and convince my wife to let me get a micro car instead of my current project car. She said no to the micro cars I wanted because they were all too small (the Peel P50 and Peel Trident were on the list as were others) but she said not. So instead I got a massively larger car.
Well we haven't reported on the on goings of Bat Boy so we haven't sunk that low. At least the National Enquirer does some fact checking for their stories.
And the solution to that is to gather more signatures and create another petition stating that they need to stop ignoring petitions that have met their requirements for a response. Then toss it out to the media and see if any grab on to it. It would work better to toss it to some right wing media as they would be more likely to go after the current administration. Love or hate them the right wing media is a political force so why not use it for good for once.
While I agree with you mostly I have actually run across a representative who listens. Granted he is in the Minnesota state senate but when I write to him and disagree he at least responds back addressing the specific points of contention I raise. Compared to most of my other elected officials that is substantial progress as with them I am luck to even get the patronizing form letter back. My solution to this is to vote whoever doesn't make an effort to respond out. Last election cycle my representative to the state house was out glad handing for votes and he got to hear fact to face my beefs and why I wouldn't be voting for him this time around even though I had voted for him in the previous election. Nothing like watching a politician squirm.
I would be fine with this bill if it also prohibited subsidies of any private business as well. Take away their special property taxes, tax increment finances, lowering their local corporate rates, right of ways, government backed loans, government bonding, ability to eminent domain, and any other such government provided benefit that gives them a business advantage over the free market.
After looking over at some of the faded yellow sticky notes on the side of my computer here at work I wonder if one could just stick a blank one to the computer and claim that the password was written on it but has long since faded away. After a few years some of text has almost completely faded away. I know if exposed to sun light the text fades faster as I have had a notebook in the area behind back seat under the rear window. When exposed to full sun text fades in a matter of weeks.
Unfortunately there have been a number of decisions out of the court stating that corporations are in fact people (for certain definitions of persons). I would have much preferred to have the court figure out a way for the movie to have not been blocked but at the same time not have the egregious decision that came out of Citizens United. As far as going down as one of the all time greatest blunders I think it already has.
Interestingly it was statements similar to those that brought the dreaded Citizens United ruling. There Deputy Solicitor General Malcolm L. Stewart argued for the FEC had the power to ban books under the Austin decision if the advocated electing or defeating a candidate. That kind of rhetoric (much like that used in the current GPS case) causes the court to really stand up and take notice. In this case we got a sane ruling but in Citizens United we got what most consider a really bad ruling that is too broad.

So do you include the makers of roster change 2012 in that list?
Oh come on. You know he would sell his soul to meet LeVar Burton the greatest actor that has ever lived.

Would you rather have Romney as the candidate?
Yet Lincoln probably still spent more time in congress.

you can't take a scooter onto a crowded elevator
Then your not trying hard enough.

I probably had one at the time but it has been very long couple of days at work.

Only if the Democrats were in charge. If the Republicans were in charge it would just be swept under the rug as business as usual.

The bill is sponsored by the following Senators to the Georgia State Senate:
Rogers, Chip
Shafer, David
Unterman, Renee
Stoner, Doug
The bill is currently in the Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee so if you in Georgia and senator is on that committee I suggest contacting them with your thoughts.

I do similar things for work passwords for various systems at work but on the more offensive side of things.
