...a productivity item that costs less than 1% my weekly salary...
What? $200,000/year = $3,846/week, and 1% of that is $38.46 which is nowhere NEAR enough for a monitor, and that's assuming the outrageous salary of $200k... How much do you make, and where can I sign up?!?
It doesn't say 100 MB per second per month. It says 100 MB/s per month. 's' is the "throttling constant" which is usually in the range of about 50, so you will get about 100 MB/50 = 2 MB per month depending on how much Verizon hates you.
I've done this. Well, I didn't exactly ditch cable... I just never had it in the first place. I have a good internet connection, and my wife and I are just fine watching all our favorite shows on the internet. For some shows, they don't come up until the next week, so you have to deal with not seeing them until after everyone is done talking about them (I don't mind this, but my wife sometimes is irritated by it).
Have you ever seen a terrorist walking down your street? Then I'd say they're doing a pretty darn good job. Also, did you know that elephants hide in cherry trees? It's true! Have you ever seen an elephant in a cherry tree? I guess it works pretty well then, doesn't it?
you also still have to avoid uinque features. for example even if you were varying width and height to make say a stone or gravel pattern, if you had one particularly unique stone in the upper layers it would stick out still. same with knots in wood.
If you had RTFA, you would have seen that he mentioned that toward the end. Of course, this is slashdot...
I'm 24 and have worn a watch since I was 18. For the same reasons that Altus mentioned: It's a lot quicker than pulling out my cell phone, and a lot more discreet in social situations.
Yes, I am confident, as the "evolution of species" includes the extinction of a species through natural selection. Do you consider extinction as "better"? If so, then I think we have a different problem on our hands and you should be institutionalized.
Re: Do Stone Tablet Developers Really Need Safety Glasses?
Whoa... for 370k/yr I'd write everything on the wall with the blood spurting from my eyes if they wanted.

You mean the free contract?
+1... Thanks for the memories!
Shouldn't be TOO difficult. They already figured out what the whales are saying...
I could take a screenshot and send it to you... :-P
Let's see how long it takes some of you to get that joke...

You are a little off... 1 mm ~ 0.003 ft, but 1 mm^3 ~ 0.003^3 ft^3 ~ 3.5 × 10^-8 cubic feet
I can't see flees. That's a verb. I can see fleas though.

tip = end. Look at this high resolution photograph of him doing it.
So, you're saying that a prime number of said schools of thought is correct then?
It also doesn't include 13 or 17. That's because that list is "numbers such that 1+3x(x-1) is a 'cuban' prime" and not a list of prime numbers.

I know, I was just being a douche. I apologize for the confusion ;-)
This is the 21st century. We can't afford to offend anyone.
I wasn't aware that Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber were on American Idol... I could have sworn they were on the Disney Channel...
Thanks for the car analogy. I was confused there for a moment. Next time you should start with it. :)
I love the "Customer Images" that were posted on that of crazy car crashes. That's HILARIOUS!
Getting on people's nerves is unavoidable.
FTFY

Everything evolves. You must be new to this species.
FTFY. "Evolve" means "to undergo gradual change" and does not imply getting "better" (or "worse").
