Would be easier to use a 256-bit 3-cascade differential encryption and a 63-character password (which combination would take more time to break with a bruteforce than the Universe has been in existence) - and then suffer PTSD-induced amnesia.
Fuck, but you people have a knack for overcomplicating things!
One of the first complex programs I wrote in GWBASIC (my first serious(!) adventure in programming) was a Newtonian orbital model (I didn't actually write it from scratch, I took a simple program I found in a magazine that demonstrated the inner solar system as a realtime simulation and replaced the individual chunks of code for each body with a unified algorithm and called each body n). Basically it took n massive particles and calculated their interactions with every other particle, and plotted the resultant path each took. For n<=5 particles on a 486DX/33 it ran fine (over 50fps), but when I ramped up the number of particles the calculations tended to slow and the plot exponentially so. By the time I hit 1000 particles I was lucky to get a retrace every hour.
This I think is where you're going to hit a problem. The more particles you have, the slower it's going to run. Unfortunately if you want a realistic physics model you'll have to calculate the interactions of every particle with every other, even if the resultant vector adjustment for each interaction is insignificant for your purposes because it *will* become significant in later frames.
having just checked, this made me absolutely piss: one of my videos is blocked in 235 countries, including the UK. It is still available in the US and ELEVEN other provinces (Jersey, Guernsey, IOM among them). It's one of the videos I used a Creed track on.
funny story: a friend of mine who distributed bootleg DVDs had this nice little loophole that meant that whenever he was dragged into court for his activities, he always walked out with a huge grin on his face. The reason he walked every single time? The loophole was this: when he copied a DVD, he copied just the movie: the start and end credits were edited out. No extras either. When he copied the cover art, he obliterated the barcode and any studio logos. Since it was the studios suing him, they couldn't make anything stick because he was distributing derivative works (proved in evidence) and because there were no marks identifying the studio they had nothing to pin him for trademark infringement.
(in the UK): there is no law against downloading *anything*. *However* there is precedent galore for convictions due to the content downloaded, eg bomb plans, morally objectionable images of minors...). Making files available on an open server is a bit of a problem, moreso if they're copyrighted: then you fall into the hole of unauthorised distribution. Making files available on a password-protected server is LEGALLY OK. Notwithstanding the strength of the password or the method of distribution of the password, you might find yourself in the same boat as TPB in that regard; TPB never hosted copyrighted material, all they did was supply the needle. At that point it's down to proof of intent.
Incidentally, I had a few C&D notices from Youtube, my old ISP (Virgin), and my mail provider (STM), they all got the same response: "I have no contract with [**AA]. I have no interest in contracting with [**AA]. [**AA] own no copyrights, therefore have no claim. The copyright belongs to the author. If the author has a problem with me, then the AUTHOR can air that to me himself. I do not talk to lawyers."
link to court dailies? scan of the summons? not forgetting of course, a copy of the birth certificate and a picture of AC and his sister taken with the front page of today's paper.
A solid object in space (not necessarily a sphere) has three principal axes of rotation. Call them x, y and z. x is the short axis, which is where the other two axes' energy will redistribute (eventually). The trick is to figure out from observation of fixed points on the surface of the object, where this axis extends from. It is at these two points, commonly known as the North and South Poles, where a grab could be made - at any time. The other two axes don't even have to be stabilised at this point (in fact, the middle axis (y) will always be unstable). The long axis, z, has the smallest moment of inertia hence will eventually spin itself out, the angular momentum distributing (nominally) to the other two axes. Absent outside influences such as friction, this is an inevitability.
A famous example is Earth itself. Some of us are aware it has a primary rotation period about its x axis (the shortest axis, North to South), of 23 hours 56 minutes 4 seconds (relative to a distant fixed point in space). It also has several other minor rotational anomalies, the most important of which being the precession of the Poles, describing a circle 46.8 degrees in diameter over 25,700-odd years.
1. His name was Peter Connelly. 2. Children Services were completely aware that he was being regularly beaten. His GP knew he had broken bones. Incidentally, it is very difficult to break a child's bones, they are still soft, flexible and growing. The extended family had already disowned both parents because of their behaviour towards each other and their son, and their respective addictions. They wanted nothing to do with the family. 3. Children Services did not intervene because they saw no profit in it. Car analogy: would you buy a car that's so rusty and beat up it didn't look like it would make it to the end of the street? Or would you prefer something shiny and pretty looking, low maintenance and comes with a perpetual warranty for the same money? The adoption industry is the same - pretty, intelligent and unmarked kids is the Grail, folks, not a one armed kid with half an ear and dog bites all over him. Where do you suppose those kids come from? Entire extended families of 8,500 kids a year don't just keel over and die leaving no blood relations to look after them. Something else is intervening. That something else has motive: maintenance of central Government budgets, "outstanding" ratings by OFSTED and the continuation of their legal authority to do what they're doing to ensure that loving and stable families are permanently separated for the good of the State. 4. Children Services are under no obligation to act on proven cases of abuse: that falls into the purview of the police, who (and I have this on first hand authority) will NOT intervene in cases where children are involved unless there is a death. They will immediately refer to Children Services and wash their hands of the situation.
The SECOND children become the subject or even a tangential consideration to a criminal investigation, Children Services are called in and the police wash their hands of the matter. That is a fact. Same as if a complaint is made of a criminal nature and subsequent filings are made to a county court, it is immediately referred to Family Proceedings and the CAFCASS Guardian is called in. That is also a fact.
The problem with Family Proceedings is that no matter the nature of the claim, it is treated as a civil matter. The burden of proof is shifted away from those making the claim (in the case of the Local Authority) to those who have to PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE (ie the natural parents). And when the standard of proof goes from "Beyond a reasonable doubt" to "Balance of probabilities", if the claim made is some witchcraftian prediction like "risk of future emotional harm", such claim is impossible to defend because THERE IS NO LEGAL DEFINITION. As a result, in such cases where the Local Authority has a stiffy for the blue haired, blonde eyed little munchkins, they end up taking the kids for forced adoption because they also have the judge, every solicitor present and their legion of so-called "expert witnesses" (witnesses? What, exactly, did they witness?) in their pocket.
I have seen it so, so many times. If I told you, your toes would curl and your hair would turn white. Children Services and the Family Legal System are the embodiment of EVIL. If you EVER find yourself in the crosshairs of these... untermenschen... run. Far and fast. Just pack an overnight and take your kids and LEAVE THE COUNTRY. The only winning move is NOT TO PLAY THEIR GAME.
here's a TLA for you: WTF!?
will this be a CIA op on the QT?

oh, yes, the Polizei in the UK now have:
pepper spray
Glock pistols
H&K MP5 automatic carbines
and the famous tonfa derivative, the Monadnock PR-24 (I have one, I carry it when out hunting).
I know, I know, bad form...

have a look at this.
I'm talking about trademark dilution. When you REMOVE trademarks, devices and logos YOU ARE DILUTING NOTHING.
nice how you ignored point 4 to make your justification.

Mask [mis]quote? Nice job.
oh sweet. My clusters are always named Jupiter with each node being nothing more than a serial number, until such time as it's deployed.
Jigglypuff is that Prescott-based box with the stack of Maxtor drives in it... it vibrates, then explodes.
...with the workgroup named for the Jafa home planet.
ah, the format-shift defense. It's been legal to format-shift in the UK since the year Tet.
show me a non-iPod media player that plays Quicktime??
Epic fail.

We apologise for the epic failure of the parent post to understand the Python reference. Those responsible have had their Geek cards revoked.

dd was one that I tried on that one - it failed.
Let's set this Baby P thing straight.

fuck that. Better use the time you have left to do one of two things:
1. fight to survive;
2. take as many of hte bastards with you as you can!
The police are under NO OBLIGATION TO PROTECT YOU.
The SECOND children become the subject or even a tangential consideration to a criminal investigation, Children Services are called in and the police wash their hands of the matter. That is a fact.
