    1 second is a human-relevant timescale that removes the inherent advantage that the machines have, this is a great improvement over the current situation.

    Came here to say this. Even wooly mammoths frozen in ice haven't fared too well. The current plan for restoring them involves manual DNA repair and breeding with modern elephants.

    Fun news but without a good DNA source this is quite impossible.

    Heat sucks donkey balls, ruins quality of life HARD. Any place that is hot, sucks, even if it seems like a nice place for a winter vacation it gets old fast and you'll be begging to have your few months of winter in return for pleasant summers back instead of year-round scorching heat.     Actually yes there once was, sort of. I can't find the story for the life of me but it was something about some artist's website or something, he had pics of a man shoving his finger into his urethra and a man being fisted on the page that was linked from the summary, and there was no warning whatsoever. I think we tagged it "goatseinsummary" to try to warn people.
