These are closer to regular old hovercrafts, I'm thinking something more like a VTOL craft that uses a combination of lifting thrust and ground-effect aerodynamic lift.
Imagine the poor black hat who only got this turd as loot. It's like breaking into a bank vault and finding out that it only had some smelly bath mats inside.
It's enough for people to be scared enough that software developers of popular bittorrent clients (say uTorrent, for example) implement this feature in a user-friendly fashion (click here not to be traced on-line).
If switching to i2p torrents were that simple it would have been done long ago. No, all torrents have to be re-seeded on the darknet, all trackers have to be moved onto the darknet too. It's comparable to the switch from IPv4 to IPv6. And this may provide the incentive to put in the work.
This is where all the productivity improvements have gone, why we're not working 2-3 days a week or any of that other utopian stuff futurists thought was coming. There have been productivity improvements, HUGE ones, it's just that it's all collecting at the top where we don't see any of it.
There are quite a few instances where they have used the transporter as a weapon. Although I agree it's odd that they haven't been more creative with it.
The religious right in the US has been getting more vocal and agitated, with candidates like Rick Perry, Palin and Bachmann getting serious attention. Anti-islamic sentiment is clearly spreading. If things go down that path who's to say there won't be a Crusades 2.0?
And could wave goodbye to any computers he's carrying.
An inspiring story, that a geek got rich by making the world a worse place for all of us.
To do IRL Wipeout it would be far easier to build some kind of hovercraft, along these lines:

In any case you can forget about the big jumps.

No not at all. The risk of theocratic takeover is a risk that all democracies must run, unfortunately.
You pay the tax and you DON'T pirate? You should pirate freely and without guilt!
That was sort of my point...
Yeah like electing that guy who gave everyone HOPE and promised to CHANGE all this crap!
Exactly. It's just lucky coincidence that on one issue the interests of the common man align with the interests of some tech megacorps.
Yes those call centers that aren't in the USA contributing jobs and tax revenue to the local economy. You win Mr. American, your penis so big!
Simple, you speak with your speech, not with your dollars. Problem solved, zero collateral damage.

I guess you'll have to start out by flapping your arms furiously and you unlock a Wright plane when you reach Level 5.
Wow, I downloaded a shitload of addons (all free) but didn't get my MSFS2k install anywwhere near 10GB 8-(
Still want to get it running in a VM, I had such a HUGE amount of mods on that install...
MS is clearly trying to turn MSFS into a walled garden they can milk. This is the structure of a "freemium" MMO they're emulating.
...where you bought the game and then picked up community-created addons for free.
