Lucky you. Google owed me over 200$ in the end of me dealing with them, and the answers I got from google, when I got any answers at all, were "sorry. We don't know the answer neither, but ask on the Android Developer forums" (which they don't monitor at all, and in this case it was an accounting problem ... hardly a matter for the forums), "we're looking into it" (followed by complete silence for months, only broken after I sent a few more and more angry emails), and "sorry. our help system sent the mail to us, but you REALLY should contact this other branch of Google" (going back and forth between Google Checkout and Google Android support). In the end I decided to just tell them to "fuck off" (literaly), and then to do something half-illegal to trick the system and get *MY* money. It took over a year.

I take it you never had to ask Google for support? It can take months until anyone answers your mail IF they even bother. And what you will get is generally just a canned answer pointing you to a FAQ you probably already read a few times. Replying to that generally results in a few more month waiting for a completely uncommited "We're looking into it", or worse "Please contact some other part of Google. It's not OUR problem". Google's user support sucks so hard, they should use it to fix the BP oil leak. I had to deal with them as a *paying* customer (Android Developers do pay a fee after all), and it was like talking to badly programmed chatbots running on a steam-powered difference engine.

"Aleman", "German", "Allemand" are exactly the same word, in different languages, and is akin to "texan"or "californian". Germans don't call themselves "the Europeans". If you're into bad comparisons, go to "Scottland", and tell them they are "English".

Well, as with every really new and fantastically revolutionary technology, there will be a time of trial, until the marketing monkeys find their bearings and the right thing to say in their advertisements. Back in the days, when WE had 3D through, for example, nVidia Shutter Glasses (but of course it was by far not as good, or technically evolved or fucking exciting as THIS really new stupenduous technology), System Shock 2 and Thief 1 and 2 were a blast in 3D. The slow movements ensured that motion nausea didn't occur, and you had actually time to realize that what you were seeing up close (pipes, guards, ...) had depth. Additionally it actually helped the gameplay.
Fast moving FPS's were another matter. First of all, most of the 3D depth you need is already provided by the motion itself, without any need for specialized hardware. Additionally, 3D works nicely when you have a limited visibility range but in an open world, any real 3D depth is lost after a not so great distance, as both eyes basically see the same thing. So it doesn't really help much at all, and at worst (someone just puts 3D Depth in, no matter how incongruous it is), it will probably create nausea and will just look stupid (as if you're playing with model sized stuff instead of real objects). 3rd person games were a hit and miss thing. some worked great ("Evolva" for example) and others worked less great. It really depends a lot on whether hte gameplay lends itself to being seen as "playing with small toys" or not.
Strategy and tactic games (be it RTS or turn based) will look great ... exactly as if you were a god playing with toys, which should please fans of that genre (I'm not a fan, but I can understand the attraction)

Of course, that's really just me thinking aloud as if I had actually played in 3D in the late 90s/start of the 21st century using custom DirectX drivers provided with nVidia Shutter glasses I bought for 99.89 Deutschmark It's not like I've been there, done that

Of course, Wovel can (and does) make them a more subjective matter. What he apparently meant to say was "Commercial Companies I deem worthy" and "Consumer Applications I deem good". There are not MANY commercial products for Linux, but they do exist. The (hopefully soon to be) release of the Steam Linux client might encourage developers to release more x-platform games. As for the incredibly high number of open source projects, and here we'll probably agree that a lot of those would not be commercially viable ( probably ... when I see the "trial" stuff for windows and OSX at download.com, I really wonder) : how does it matter in regard to commercial applications, except that to be commercially viable the product MUST have a higher standard or offer something different than its opensource competitors?
