And who then refuses to show those records in response to lawful requests for information, and who finally destroys that information to ensure it doesn't get seen and analyzed?
d be more concerned about politicians and corporations that deny climate change.
Why? There's an easy solution for that problem. Just put them in prison. The German people went from being racist murders to being accepted back as part of the world community just because they put deniers in prison. We need to do the same.
Thank you for the additional information. I'm not old enough to remember Vietnam. I was born during it, in 1970.
I knew a lot of "Vietnamese" moved to the US after the war, but that was how they were always mentioned. As far as I remember, I never saw the term 'Hmong' until a couple years ago.
Also, since I grew up in the upper midwest farm country, our local paper certainly didn't have stories like that one. I remember finding an old copy of one a little while ago (probably at my mom's house), and was surprised that the front section was only 8 pages. The sports and culture/classifieds/comics sections were only 6 pages each.
It would be cool if an animal figured out how to use natural fires (grassfires, forest fires) to cook a particular animal. But once they smell the smoke, they all run away.
Did half the country take a "Hmong Cultures" class a couple years ago? I must have missed it. During the past two years or so, I have seen several references to the Hmong people, with no explanation of who they are. If I mentioned "the plight of the Nukak", I would certainly have to include a reference to their location and what their plight is.
Am I the only one here that only knows the Hmong because of repeated googling about them?
First off, that's not "waste heat", that's all heat. The heat generated that actually does useful work is not waste heat, even if it also contributes its share of energy to the system. In that regard, even solar has to be counted, to some degree, since if it wasn't converted to electrical power, a sizable percentage of it would be reflected off the ground and back to space. Instead, it's trapped on Earth and adds to the total energy system.
Second, either way, waste heat it is not a large source of energy in the system, but will add up over time, as the wiki gods state.
Third, it was just a throw away example. Yet here you are chasing it down like it is the most important fact in this discussion.
I'm sorry. I thought the article was about Swedish farmers, and the reason they don't believe the AGW doom predictions.
Maybe I should read the submission again so I understand it is a fully scientific discussion.
It's not "the best argument", but it is a good one.
The best one is "follow the money", then "follow the power".
And who then refuses to show those records in response to lawful requests for information, and who finally destroys that information to ensure it doesn't get seen and analyzed?
You have to complete the sentence properly.
Both sides deny science, if it fits their politics.
As Amiga3D said, the AC's opinion is worth less than the Swedish farmers' opinions. If the AC is from the IPCC, its opinion is certainly worthless.
Well, it was a silly mistake to make. I saw it too, but ignored it.
I'm still waiting for my Antarctica tropical coastline to return. I haven't enjoyed the beach in eons.
Oh, and, ... Get off my continental lawn!!
Damn kids now-a-eons.
It was hundred of years ago. They all died wherever they were.

Quoting just for the bat-shit insanity of it.

Anyhow, thanks again for the post.
Well, that call is in response to yours. I think jamesl meant a "just thinking about you" type of call.
My doctor says it is more about the ratio between the two. You want to have a 6:1 ratio of HDL to LDL. Total amount of each isn't so important.
But that was a VA doctor, so maybe I'm just lucky to be alive. ;^)
OK. I thought you were going for the "alpha male eats freshly killed flesh" angle.
That explains a lot. I never saw that movie, but I'm sure many here did.
Thanks for the reply. :^)

The heat really opens the flavor of the brontocarrots and tomatosauruses.

If you "go camping for a week", you are probably going to be eating berries and mushrooms, with possibly a fish.
You probably are not going to be eating fresh elk.
Wait a sec. Gramma fucked the Big Bad Wolf?
And then she climbed into his testicles? And the Woodsman castrated him to free Gramma?
What is the best discussion of galactic rotation curves? Best for a layperson, I should say.

The military still had them during this century. Not many, but they were still in use.
I worked on Xenix systems while in the military back in the mid 90's. I don't know if they still use them, but they did a decade ago.
If you support the killing of this man I happily support putting you in a cage for the rest of your life.
Are you in the streets demanding the same consequences for President Obama? For any of his staff?
Bush didn't authorize killing American citizens with drone strikes. He would not have needed to release such a memo.
