    The vast majority of Africans struggle with basic malnutrition. Enough to eat? Perhaps but try feeding your kids 1000 calories of rice a day and see how they perform in school.

    I got a TN drivers license when I was a kid. One day a cop in a different state pulled me over. He asked me why I had a gun license. I said I didn't. Turns out TN gave out gun permits automatically with their drivers licenses. Ok. So every TN kid can shoot a man at 16. But they can't learn about evolution? I don't know you guys. I really don't know.

    I doubt that it happens like that. Where does the 50k go? Swiss bank accounts? That's seems like spy movie BS to me. You can't receive a 50k ransom without getting nailed for it. Not even a nigerian prince.

    Not to mention the bill for disk reads/writes. Staying up under a DDoS on ec2 could be the worst thing that ever happened to you. It could even be worse than bidding high on a spot instance and surviving a ridiculous rate spike.

    I didn't miss the point, it was ridiculous. 20 moves into one line there's a hidden mate in 7. So what? There's always a mate in 7 enough moves down *some* line. Who cares? The line just changes. I think you'e assuming that the best line can't change. That's just silly. The best line is likely to change every turn. My point is the engine will spot a forced mate well in advance of the point where it becomes a problem.

    But the only reason you can even make a statement like that is because of computer analysis!
    Anyway I never claimed anything was a proof, only that a chess engine can easily spot a mate in 7.

    *You're* missing the point. The game in question was won for black until he made a blunder 4 moves from the end. A basic chess engine can spot forced mates 15 moves ahead and no human player can set a trap like that - not without the help of a computer anyway.
