I've had a Popcorn hour A110 for a couple years now. I can sum it up by saying, with the exception of anything with subtitles, it's a great appliance for playing your blu ray rips. It will understand most other formats but the UI is slow enough and basic enough that you're really not going to want to watch TV shows on it like you would with Boxee.
On the flip side, I have Boxee on another screen and it's great for dealing with just about anything but Hidef. I'm running an Eeebox eb1012 which when running Powerdvd it seems to keep up with bluray rips just fine but Boxee just doesn't seem to use the hardware acceleration.
Hope that was helpful.
Same here. I cut the cord four years ago and I haven't looked back. Netflix, Hulu and bittorrent do a pretty good job satisfying my entertainment needs. It has been strange being cut off from pop culture though but in a good way. I've never seen the Head On commercial. I don't know who Justin Bieber is(some kind of prison prostitute?). And I guess because of the Twilight saga heterosexuals can no longer talk about vampires.
Actually I think these observations only serve to reinforce Professor John Frink's predictions that in 10 years time SSDs will be twice as fast, 10,000 times the physical size and will be so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe can afford it.
I'm in a somewhat similar situation. I moved to a new city where outside of work I don't know anyone. I've found that online dating can successfully find you a mate if have the time and patience and a great profile. But trying to make an actual male friend? It's kind of tough after 25 or so. One possible solution would be,assuming you're a man would be to join a gay dating website and just don't put out. POW instant best friend. Of course you'll have to come up with a lot of excuses to dodge sex.
Well... have they tried googling it?

then they have nothing to fear.
So that's why my ex girlfriend deleted me off her page. Umm... yeah that has to be it.
