  1. audio? on Online Videos May Conduct Viruses · · Score: 1

it makes sense. viruses can be attached to executable files and shall not bring any harm as long as those files are not executed. which means the downloadable ones should be scanned first before we watch them.the online ones are pretty much hard to be determined if they carry viruses or not.

    how about audio files?

yes you are correct. but those time we could peel off the logo of an airline company from the replicas of their aircraft after keeping them under water for a couple of hours. now is the time of quantum computers and virtual machines. we know better now. what we thought as a threat might be an asset.

  3. genius. on Staged Hack Causes Generator to Self-Destruct · · Score: 1

i always consider researchers to be geniuses. they can actually find something like this, put up a demo, staged experiment or something and just tell the public( which also includes potential attackers) all about it. genius.

  4. why? on Convicted VoIP Hacker Robert Moore Speaks · · Score: 2, Interesting

why is he going to prison? why don't make him like a password administrator or something where he finds all the default passwords( seems like he had the time back then) and ask those owners to change them? and of course got paid for that. like that what's-his-name guy in the 'catch me if you can' movie..

  5. really? on Homeland Security's Tech Wonders · · Score: 1

having small gadgets to help in keeping crimes at bay..that's technology being used to the fullest. is it really, now? more like being phobic and hiding behind all the reasons they can come out with just to get the approval of the public. typical.

    i'd say they overreacted.

but then again..people are always afraid with something that is different. i don't think we see people with gadgets attached to their shirts as obvious as that all the time.let alone in an airport. so the reaction was right, to me. just a little bit over the top.

what can one say, being different has a price to pay. that was hers.

  8. it's true, it's true.. on Workers Cause More Problems Than Viruses · · Score: 1

yep. nowadays people are getting more ignorant. to me, that's just selfish. some doesn't even know what they are facing and when told about the possible attacks..they would only loose their interest when we are not even halfway in explaining to them. being ignorant is one thing, not knowing is just another thing. that's just plain stupid.

  9. DDoS and PayPal on CastleCops.com Hit With Reputation-Based Attacks · · Score: 1

I have always been fascinated with DDoS attack. The ability to attack a single target from various computers has made me grown knowing the importance of network security. And the target that can stand the test of DDoS is even fascinating. If it is as acclaimed, then, my heartiest congrates to CastleCops! And PayPal..just a reminder. Please be aware that PayPal is not a bank. So it doesn't have any kind of obligations to follow any of the rules and regulations of a bank. Which means it is not entitled, to refund any credits lost. Within e-bay, it's safe enough. Out of e-bay, fraudelent is almost unavoidable.
