Using waveguides is a common way of transporting radio waves, which cannot be said to be "over the air". "Over the air" implies that the signals are interceptible by anyone.
Parent does not mark his sarcasm clearly enough. For one minute I actually believed he meant that Disney really IS coming up with their own stories. What a thought...
Any perfectly square wave requires an infinate amount of sine waves to be replicated (or: consists of the same). In reality there are no perfect square waves and one just has to draw the line for "good enough" somewhere.
"As you can see the Mac OS will be more costly for you as a user, with more frequent support costs."
The first is that the average upgrade time depends on how often the manufacturer releases upgrades, and considering how long it took for MS to get Vista out the door I would hardly consider the longer interval a positive. The other is that if you take the price of an update into account, Apple also wins. If you updated XP -> Vista -> 7 you pay $400+, while going OS 1.4 -> 1.5 -> 1.6 only costs you a total of $158.
I would hate to see a human brain that functioned without personality.
Well, it wouldn't be a human brain, now would it? Do you hate to see a computer without personality? This would be the same thing, only more complex, and modelled after something occuring in nature.
I'd say one of the biggest problems with mandating the use of CFL:s in cold regions is their long turn-on time. If it is cold, it's usually a matter of tens of seconds before they give off any light. This is highly inconvenient when they are used in a non-heated environment like a garage or a toolshed, where they are often only needed for the few seconds it takes to get some tool or whatever.
We should at least wait with this stupidity until LED-lights are a viable option. They contain no mercury and light up instantly, but still save lots of energy.
Not surprisingly, the insurgency only emerged after all of the armed forces of Iraq were disbanded without pay. Such treatment is a deep insult to an Iraqi man and led directly to thousands of shamed young well-trained armed men being unable to feed their families. The rest is history.
Big surprise. Everything that has come from this industry has been at best broad guesstimates, at worst intentionally spread lies. Trying to explain the demise of an obsolete business model without taking the obvious into account is hard!
It changes a lot for the company still making tons of money selling Elvis. They can continue to do so for another 20 years, while they work on the next extension.
Wouldn't the average still be exactly 1 G? Well, maybe not if one were to spinn the centrifuge at different speeds in different parts of the circulation but it still seems stupid.
But even buying second hand gives money to the previous owner who in turn might be able to afford that new game he's been wanting but not had the cash for. Or the option of selling the used game might make someone more inclined to "risk" buying a new, expensive game because the money isn't necessarily lost if the game sucks or is quickly played through.
So even second hand games return money to the game studio.
I would really like to know what U.S troops are supposedly stationed here in Finland (my home country). AFAIK they come here for the occasional multilateral military exercise but that in my opinion does not mean a permanent presence.
They were leaked to and published by a tabloid newspaper.
Possibly, but not to have the law.
You show me the declaration of war that was made. Oh, there was none? They just marched in?

Misspelled "Chinese"?
Meanwhile, a girl might want to spend more than your toy's ticket price on a Symbian.
If your not talking about mobile devices, maybe this is what you were referring to.

So what you're saying is we should build MORE power plants to allow these people to switch to electrical stoves? Yeah, the alarmists will love that!
Crap.. OS X 10.4 -> 10.5 -> 10.6 obviously.
I see two problems with your statement

Except you would only have 6000 fans in the entire world since the world's population is 6 billion, not 6 trillion.
As long as they remove the level cap.

When you grow up.
Because the GP was making a point using a McDonald's -analogy. Besides, why would anyone be wanting MORE car-analogies?
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy references. How could they ever be modded down?
