"The brain is still in beta mode, it's got all sorts of patches and workarounds. It's not perfectly created, it's clearly evolved up."
See, even God uses Windows.
Except that in the case of windows, it's often a case of simply going to the hardware manufacturer's site and downloading the correct driver. Wish it were that simple with linux. But that's really not the issue for me. It's more the fact that a good chunk of the hardware I'm using on this laptop cannot be made to work 100% in linux due to the simple fact that 3rd party drivers can only do so much.
Why is it that the smaller an animal is, the more acceptable it is to kill it in a gruesome fashion? My guess is the more human-like the expression of agony is, the easier it is for us to empathize. Does this mean that we intrinsically care nothing about other species' suffering unless they draw parallels to our own? I try to rationalize that a roach slowly dying from radiation exposure probably hurts as much as it would most any other living creature, but that still does little to dissuade me from gleefully grinding one of the filthy buggers with the sole of my boot.
What a ridiculous argument. Vista is mind-boggling simplistic enough as it is. In fact, they went to great lengths to make it more user-friendly: made dropdown menus invisible by default and added the common task bar, so as to not overwhelm users with options, added a nifty search bar right into the start menu for easy access to programs and documents, autodefragging, etc. The only thing I think could stump a 13yo would be UAC.
Let us just pray they don't add bluetooth-enabled devices for controlling the heatsink's fan.
Norton's Anti-Spaz 2012. Detects and eliminates all brainware automatically.

Oh noes! I clicked on the Copyright Infringement Warning button and I saw html codez! I am so getting sued...
Great attitude. That'll really help spread Linux to the masses.
