Even in 86, that 20MB filled up pretty quickly. It was obviously not going to be good enough even at the time. (It was still very, very nice to have.) The gigabyte also filled up very quickly. It took about a year as I recall. Only when it got to 20-100 GB did I notice myself not making a dent right out of the gate. I have yet to do much video so it will happen eventually. But as time goes by, the "it'll still be alot in 5 years" prediction is getting closer to reality.
Not really. Your argument become unhinged by this factoid on the second page. The public affairs officer sounds a bit more like a political officer to me. This is fairly alarmist thinking on my part but the policy motivations here it not obvious and the case is not open and shut.
At climate laboratories of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, for example, many scientists who routinely took calls from reporters five years ago can now do so only if the interview is approved by administration officials in Washington, and then only if a public affairs officer is present or on the phone.
He drones on because at the time (a couple of months ago) the analisys was just starting and he wanted to stir up some activity in his inbox. The results of come out in the weeks following and really should have been linked in the original post but oh well, you can find them easilly enough.
Methodist churches have different views than Catholic churches.
We methodists can't even figure out what our views are consistantly in the chuch. My church out here in CA will have some drastically different sermon topics then those of some perishes out in, say, KY.
Who's to say which is "correct"? Except God/Jesus, that is. And neither of them return my calls anymore.
You know, Jesus stopped returning my calls a few years back too... I wonder if everything is OK up there?
They've introduced some new editors recently that just aren't very good. (Sorry/., it's just my opinion.)/. has always had problems with dupes, typos and 'post first, ask questions later' but lately It's been much worse. I'd ban an editor or two from my main page but I think they are doing 90% of the posting anymore.
The really dumb thing is with just a little thought the posts wouldn't be that bad. This one in particular, could have just been prefaced with "Here's a great spoof of and old frames rant applied to AJAX". Add the foot icon next to it and there would be nothing to complain about. Not that it would stop this crowd...
There was a trick to that but it's been so long I don't really remember. You were probably using fetch, or should have been if you weren't and in the config options there was a knob to increase the frame/fragment/packet (something like that) size and it would get much better.
Most of the good stuff is not showcased for some odd reason.
If you want to compare to google start with ka-map at http://ka-map.maptools.org/ but that's not the only interesting things going on.
And realize that with these tools you get to render your own layers, not just lay data over google's background (maybe I'm not totally up on what all you can do with google's API though). Google has changed the web based GIS quite a bit but before them, mapserver was the best FOSS way to do it by far and it's still the way to do stuff where you need real control.
6 pack of the good stuff.... $10 Some pretzles to go with.... $5 Look on wifes face just now when I told her I'd be drinking 'health beer' from now on... Gawd, what a look!
Woman! You use firefox from now on 'cause I wear the IT pants around here and I SAY you use firefox! Now quit yer bitchin' and get in the kitchen!
Seriously, I have a wife that listens too. We are lucky gents, you and I. I am so lucky that my wife would consider the above statement facecious and funny. You wanna roll the dice and see how well it goes over at your house?
1 million trees... I can't get a handle on what good that would do. Can you tell me what impact that has in terms of how many libraries of congress could be printed on it?
No, they mean putting in some extra../ in there to try to get to something you should not be able to if the machine is properly patched and configured. Something outside of the document root. Putting in../ is not part of normal messing about with URLs that is occasionally helpful in moving around a website.
Children understand "mine" and "yours" sometime around kindergarten if not before, there's no reason to act as if they didn't know better.
You must belong to a different species than I do. Sure they know what mine and yours means but that doesn't mean they understand the morality issues that go along with it. Do you have kids? Do they get this stuff? I have to remind mine all the time. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Public funding of projects, businesses and markets doesn't make opportunities.
Tell that to Lockheed Martin....
3) Just didn't think it through very well from either the business or largess perspectives.
After all that time in the basement at MySQL HQ he'll be suffering from a bad case of Stockholm syndrome, that's for sure.
Rimshot please...
It'a about time they let him go. I was beginning to wonder if they ever would.
Egads, not gnuplot. Grace is the only way to go for this sort of thing.
Let the flamefest begin!
No big mystery there.

Amen, brother. That game had me coming back again and again. Always back to the original too, not the sequels.
Isn't this what the new Sun chips are about? Hmmm, found this eweek artical about it
The chip (formerly code-named Niagara), with eight cores that can process four instruction threads simultaneously,
So, it's not 32 cores but 32 threads on 8 cores. Not what you or the grandparent were looking for exactly but it's something worth mentioning.

I saw this before I took the how-to of the day off my google page. I've no clue if it works or would be cheaper and produce enough for you. Good luck.

Yeah, but the brightness on my monitor goes to 11 and I need to compensate for the inferior equipment used by today's artists.

Yeah, I didn't know about that either. An explaination is here. It appears to have to do with not supressing free speach in the form of leaflets.
