Given that the XBOX 360 controller was available for PC 2 weeks before the XBOX 360 was released, there are more controller peripherals available for the PC at much higher quality than any console. Racing fan? If you're willing to pay the price you can have a force feedback (not rumble...force feedback) Steering wheel with gas, brake and clutch pedal and up to 7 position gear shift, made of high quality parts. Flight sim fan, pretty well the same, flight yoke with foot pedals for rudder control? Or just the miriad of Sidewinder style flight sticks available. There's much beyond crappy Logitech console knockoff gamepads out there.

Ok for serious you get a trophy for vagueness. If Microsoft really really has a monopoly...why is there MacOS and Unix and Linux. Are you saying that "really small powerless companies" such as Acer, Asus and the like CAN'T CHOOSE??? Are you saying that Microsoft striking deals with these companies is an illegal practice? I think Dell, HP, IBM etc are all big enough to be able to perform R&D on thier own operating systems if the SO CHOOSE. They just choose not to. Apple could have at any time designed their operating systems to run on any x86 hardware. If you like Linux so much...install it on your machine and for god sakes feel happy that you've exerted your power of choice and that microsoft is now powerless over you. It's that easy why does everyone whine and complain so much about them...just...install...linux...and...use...software...that...runs...on...it. Is it that hard? Is it Microsofts fault that the average user doesn't want to do this. Of course, now I'm going to hear about FUD...hooray. So people are stupid and gullible too and that's microsofts fault too. Some of you people act as if they invented the common practice or something. Oh well, 9 out of 10 dentists recommend 7 different kinds of toothpaste. There are ups and downs to hitting as many as possible.

Back in november, my wife of 6 years and I seperated. I was in school and decided that I was in fact going to hit as many as possible. Before being married I was quite unshy, unless it came to intimacy, then for some reason I'd clam up. After, mainly because I had no intention of caring for anyone or commiting or any of that type of thing, I was significantly less shy. Not to brag but I was quite sucessful and within a month or two I went from being the hunter to the prey. I'm not going to say I was a jerk as I was rather straightforward with all the women I've encountered since then.

The real problem came when I started meeting women that I actually cared about a bit, or started having feelings for me while I was seeing others. Sometimes it was a no-brainer when it came to shedding someone or letting them know that my feelings hadn't changed and that they had to deal with that. Sometimes it made for some really serious decisions and some sleepless nights when I had to decide between two women with great qualities. I've also very recently been seeing this one girl with a developping seriousness, and another girl that had really captivated me but until recently had been unavailable told me that she was now single and shared these feelings for me. This has made for a really really tough situation for me.

The point I'm trying to make here is that there's no one formula for happiness with the opposite sex. Real feelings for someone have to develop and both parties have to have the same interest in one another. To be someone you're not to get a girl might work for a night or two but if you're looking for something fulfilling and rewarding, acting like someone you're not will not work. It's simple as to why...you can only keep a charade up for so long.

Not to mention that it'll probably be deemed going too far creating such restrictions based on URL, there's enough bad press floating around with the Chinese government doing such things.

Not to mention that the quality of the videos on youtube in general hardly pose a threat to the content delivered over ExpressVu.

Well, maybe I'll recant on that a little, I really can't put it above a large ISP to piss off a large portion of their userbase.

I think a better implementation of your test would be to have it programmed with a core set of instructions that can try to accomplish something, somehow, and have some way of measuring sucess or failure, and therefore applying some sort of good/bad rating to a particular action in a particular circumstance. Once it learns something, it could add that method to it's instruction set for performing that particular task...

Or blame parents for teaching their children fiscal sense. I remember when arcade machines here stopped being a quarter as the norm. Pumping a dollar into a machine for an average of 5 minutes of play time gets really expensive really fast when you're as hopeless an addict as I am. THe 300$ for an NES/SNES/Genesis console made way more sense since I only had to pay once for the console and once for a game. Sure, there were still benefits to going to an arcade but not nearly as many (pinball, the technically superior racing titles with the driver seat feeling). I think the Sega Dreamcast was probably the easiest and most sensible console to blame since that's when arcade perfect conversions started being the norm instead of the rare gem, which also indicates why Sega/Sammy are so quiet in the blame game.
