I guess I mostly don't care since neither major GPU manufacturer wants to come up with a naming structure that makes a lick of sense. Honestly, You could use a random number generator, I always just end up looking up benchmarks to figure out which cards are better than others. There's nothing in the names.
Oh, and that's why this press release is so pointless.
Also, in other news, processor manufacturers are in the same boat. You know why nobody (read: avg consumers) buys top end processors? Because from a PR naming standpoint, they all seem confusing and.. do stuff. Seems like this here emachines from walmart has the intel core ix blah blah blah, it must be good. Only $299! What a steal!
I know that in a post somewhere below me, somebody's going to point out the financial advantage to this, but I feel like it just doesn't make sense to purposefully confuse the public by not coming up with reasonable names.
So glad there's no cap yet. Thank goodness for Barnacle wifi tether + Root + no cap on droid data service. You can buy wifi-tethering from verizon with a 5gb cap. What? no thanks.
Stagefright was supposed to maximize audio performance while minimizing bandwidth usage. My guess is that their goal was to get the bandwidth down as far as possible. Unfortunately, a lot of people turned off stagefright when they got to 2.2 because it didn't perform well. Apps like pandora even had a setting to use the old library instead, because it caused a lot of skipping.
I gotta wonder though, I've got motorola droid (the original) with cyanogenmod, and after doing the "fix" netflix works great, doesn't that mean the DRM is on here in some form? Why wouldn't they release it?
Well you can argue that the logical consistency of the abstract logical constructs are objective. You can also argue that something is not plainly my point of view if it's independently verifiable, and in fact, I don't need to be alive for the observation to be made.
But if you're just arguing solipsism for your "we're all in the matrix" kicks, then man, don't bother. We're not really even here anyway.
Exactly- I left the keys in my car, and a neighborhood kid steals it, runs somebody over. I don't think I'm liable, but how much money will I spend defending myself?
Only terrorists would use that information. If you want to be safe, we CANNOT, I REPEAT CANNOT hold our government officials and law enforcement accountable. If we do that, how is Jack Bauer going to stop the terrorists, let alone within 24 hours??
Thanks, WIW, It's my own work- I'm currently writing a book on that topic! I know I haven't updated in a while, but it's still a very live project, please stay in contact! explaingod@gmail.com (don't be distracted, I'm atheist, but these topics usually touch on religion)
Ok, I admit- the second mouse button thing was digging. But the maximize, I just can't deal with that. I maximize for one reason: Focus. I don't want to see other stuff on the screen it's distracting. If I want to see other things on screen, I wouldn't maximize.
I understand it's preference, not a real issue. But that being said, it's not even an option and that's (believe it or not) the biggest barrier for me on macs. And yes, I have the third party tool for the mouse acceleration, but I don't qualify that as a merit of the system.
We were hoping they'd have a better crack at it than we do. Maybe they can send back the decoded female brain waves so we can finally figure out women... Yes! There's hope for us yet!
I remember physics class, where we were posed with the problem, what if one ship traveled.6 times the speed of light, while another ship traveled.6 times the speed of light in the opposite direction? From the first ship, would the second be traveling faster than light?
I thought we had broken physics, but alas, we just didn't yet understand time/space dilation yet.
Lack of maximize. Accelerated mouse cursors (switching from PC, it's impossible to get used to). They finally added a second mouse button, so I'll give them credit there.
I'm a.net developer, you'd think I'd be pretty well acquainted with something as simple as word processing... But it still takes me time (and causes frustration) to find what used to be on the Format menu. Come on now!
Well that's pointless. I'm not going to spend an extra $80 for these streaming features when I already have free 2-day shipping as a "guest" prime account on another prime account. It would've been cool to check out but just a quick overview shows that they're not really titles I'd pay to watch. Amazon fail.
I think the hard part about stopping in that scenario is how much extra pressure you have to apply to the brakes. It's not that it's too hard, it's that you're not anticipating having to use that extra pressure. My assist failed in the freezing cold one day, and I was certain my brakes were broken and I was going to die. It took me a few moments to realize the brakes still worked, and that the pedal wasn't stuck, it was just harder to press.
After that, I expected it on -10 F days, and it was always easy to stop. (and then I got my power system fixed.)

I just use two video cards..

Correction: 2.2 should work. Just needs stagefright.

the hack version didn't work, still had to edit my build.config (moto droid original) Netflix works great now.

Now if I recall correctly, they were also looking for the existence of gravitational waves.. which they.. didn't find.. correct?

Or, will it retain the energy necessary?

..in spice.
I the the Q qualifier is assumed here.

So that you'll be more likely to buy things from amazon you normally don't. Like deoderant.

Glad we can get to the core of the issue.
But you have to admit, we didn't have much to do in our social lives before facebook invented the internet... so..
