I wonder if they are trying to prepare us for flying cars? Just like the computer mouse. You introduce new concepts slowly so that the next new technology is easier to grasp.
You could also try waiting till the domain expires and they have to renew and try to register it then before they do. That takes time and cunning skills.

Also who in their right mind uses their real name on the internet? Just gives the goverment more knowledge where you are on the internet. ( I'm still stuck on Baker St on the internet).
I find it interesting when looking at passwords because it tells you a lot about the person. A computer person will have something like H2xkls23. Where as kid might have MyFavoritePony.
If I was a start up musician I would post my music for free and give copies to all the pirates. That way your name gets out there and people would listen to free music. Then have a concert or two to get your sales up. Sell cds or make a website that has something else with it if you buy it on that website. There are lots of ways to get piracy to help you to become famous. You could even dress up like a pirate!
Luckily I haven't had to use Vista yet, nor from the horror stories do I want to use it. But it is just getting sad when the software companies have to make a sandbox for people and then put a babysitter beside that sends you to bed if you do anything that the babysitter doesn't like. If your toys don't work or play nice in the sand box then they aren't allowed in the sandbox.
