50 million is a failure when they depend on software for their profits (Nintendo always makes profits on their hardware as well as software. Sony & MS take a loss on their hardware initially, and hope die shrinks let them break even a few years down the road.).
200 million? It's just over 100 million. I don't know what "software sell-in units" means (actually, I do, it means sold to retailers, not sold to consumers), but http://vgchartz.com/weekly.php will get you real numbers. (Real in the sense that they are estimated and altered later to match what comes out of NPD and Media Create and such, but it's accurate enough for this conversation).
The PSP has been the most successful contender to Nintendo's handheld throne, but they were by no means successful. Everyone shat on the DS when it was announced. Everyone expected the PSP to absolutely destroy it. Nintendo laughed.
I'd rather bet on the Washington Generals beating the Harlem Globetrotters than bet on the next NGage.
And the iPhone is going to be competitive gaming platform too!
People. Look at the fucking sales for the Nintendo DS. Look at them. 103 million Nintendo DSs have been sold without contracts, for use as a game system.
Then look at the software sales. The DS has well over 400 million software sales under it's belt. Keep in mind these games typically sell for $39.95.
Fighting against Nintendo in handheld games is a fool's errand.
"This is idiotic and degrading, and I feel that I'm intruding on the rights of other Americans. I'd quit, but I need this job, plus getting to keep "lost" items is a nice perk." is a more truthful response.
Robots have to be "ethical" to people. People don't have to be ethical. It's a fucking robot. Beat the shit out of it. Pretend to surrender then turn on the fucking thing when it treats you all nice like. "Oh, mr robot, I'm so cold and sick. I'm bleeding, too, help me." Then you attack the piece of shit.
Robots vs Robots: The least "ethical" side has a distinct advantage.
People vs Robots: The least "ethical" side has a distinct advantage.
Why would it be any different when robots are involved?
I dare say our generation would need a war (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. are not wars - they are political occupations) to appreciate what war really is. When faced with ruthless, relentless destruction and elimination, you must respond in kind, or be eliminated. It's not nice, it's not a pretty picture, but that's what it is.
Actually, you're just revealed yourself to be that fanboy. I never mentioned "cards", and can only assume you are referring to graphics cards.
Their entire site is filled to the brim with ads. 20 "page" reviews filled with copy-and-pasted marketing bullshit from the press kits.
They test cherry-picked hardware samples no mere mortal will ever get to touch.
You assume I give a fucking shit about AMD/Intel or nVidia/ATi or whatever other drama there is. I give a shit about honest reviews with real products (not "gifts" or "review" hardware) that aren't essentially written by the manufacturer.
I'd like to read said review without clicking through 20 2-paragraph pages. I don't need 5000 charts, a single fucking table will suffice.
Bottom line: If a review site is using non-retail product, non-paid-for products, it's bullshit. Call it a preview if it's newsworthy and you still want to post it.
If a review site copies and pastes press material and marketing-speak from the manufacturer, it's bullshit.
If a review site sucks the genitals of the manufacturer and agrees to NDAs, it's bullshit.
If a review site loads up more ads than actual review, it's bullshit.
This goes for all sites, but obviously Tom's Hardware is the biggest offender, and has been for the longest time.
Puppies will grow up to helpful to society.
"Hold Your Wee for a Wii", they called it.
Morons.
No they can't.
The ones that do end up getting killed by their kids.
Irregardless of what happens (I could care less), bringing up the Roper case is a perfectly cromulent tactic.
Seconded.
I also propose kicking trouble makers out of schools and onto the streets, then filling those desks with puppies.
The case studies looked at patients whose consumption ranged from two to nine litres of cola a day.
OH NEVERMIND LOL JESUS WTF PEOPLE
A bit itself is one dimensional, as it can be two things.
Or you know, it's really just a 3D physical thing in 3D space that they measure various properties of.
Could I make a CD that records data not as pits but as pits painted with color and say I've gotten more dimensions out of it? NO!
Is this stored in the same physical footprint of its non-5-dimensional counterpart?
If so, please describe said counterpart, and tell us why it's not 5-dimensional.
Define "excessive", please.
Free? Who said anything about free?

And they're entertaining to watch.
Oh please, it's as if I said a byte is an 8-dimensional bit.

Short school bus needed.
Don't worry, we'll get you home Mister Whirly.

Use dogs.
99.9% of problems solved.
I think you mean "If your shotgun is riding balls, see a doctor.".
Going after people for scars?
Damn, you got me.
I really wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition.
O Tenenbaum
No there aren't.

There are no rules in war.

Totally not a biased, money-hatted site. Totally. Trust us.
(Not saying they're biased in this case, but because of the bullshit they've pulled in the past I'll never visit their site again.)
