  1. People will just route around the problem by using a different browser. On an XP machine at work the 'Chrome' browser refuses to upgrade past a certain point and throws a warning banner on the top of the screen. So I installed SeaMonkey. I use the old version of 'Chrome' solely for the gmail account on that system. So any browsing I do there is not logged-onto a google account.

Correction: having a leader who is bombastic and when he was a reality TV star boasted to a crony that he was such a celebrity that he was surrounded by the sort of women that he can grab by the pussy.

It's badly distorted by people who hate him the most.

Did Obama during his eight years as President?

  7. Everybody knows Trump had a one-night-stand with the pornstar.

Incidentally, the pornstar's lawyer is who blew the Kavanaugh issue for the dems. Dude dragged out really stinky contrived 'evidence' against the judge and discredited the case against Kavan with the public at the same time as he hardened Kavan's supporters.

The whole 'hooker' deal is a non-issue. Everybody knows Trump is Horndog II, but we all accepted Horndog I and his enabling wife, the Rodham chick.

  8. You are just fantasizing about making your political opposition criminal.

The truth is, Trump and his followers have done a lot of that in the last several years, too. All the 'Lock her up' chants at rallies, etc.

It's banana republics that lock up the 'opposition' after the election is over. Thank goodness that impulse on the part of Trump's group has been toned down.

    It's good trolling bait, however.

Right. Sorry about the mixup. QNX has been marketed in the past as a 'real time' solution, so I doubled down on my error.

  10. What is this 'glue logic' you refer to?

The right place would need bus signals and network access and power, and space for a signal coupler that looks plausible in that place.

'Glue logic' is the stuff in between all of that, that connects all of it.

Why would a signal coupler be needed? The 'bug' chip uses the resources of the system to communicate, in the spaces between the normal traffic.

  11. We used to fight about things like vi versus emacs, and how emacs eats up 8 megs of RAM just to load. Linux was going to save the world, and the main enemy of the people was a piece of software from M$.

That sounds hard. Why can't the software handle all of that?

Amateur Radio is a hobby, not a use-case.

If it's too 'hard' just pick up your cellphone and stay out of the amateur bands.

The important barrier that needs to be maintained is the rules and regs part of the testing. If a HAM license doesn't enforce some education about operating the gear, nobody would follow the common sense rules, and 'the commons' would quickly be destroyed.

Operators need to know and understand the equipment, how to control radiated power, prevent a distorted signal, etc. It isn't a hobby where you just buy a rig and turn it on, or at least not one where you are restricted to that.

A couple decades ago VxWorks was shipping out a demo boot floppy diskette. You could boot it on an x86 system with a floppy drive and it brought up a whole OS desktop that included networking and a Web browser.
