    but possibly more important, the government (currently) cannot break PGP encryptopn. If I could, I wouldn't admit to it either.

    More people would keep using that which I could easily bypass that way.

    Generalizations are accurate and meaningful. I found your post very enlightening.

    Please remember that if you browse at +1 or more you'll only see the multitude of vocal minorities. Granted in most cases its the largest minority, but still a minority out of the whole.

    Course less than +1 is a study into Beckett's Endgame writ large, but it does reveal the broader mix of perspectives.

    I do not know how may times it needs to be said in the comments before people notice it, but this is NOT a power generating site. The site produces isotopes and even in the event of critical failure, you still will not see anything of meltdown proportions. Even if it was, keep in mind that, since Chernobyl, safety procedures have become VERY precise and robust.

    That which is unknown is definitely scary though. It's a choice between how many definitely die due to lack of medical radioisotopes, versus how many might be affected by a reactor failure.

    I'm just glad i'm not the one making the decision, because you know the perception of the choice only depends on the results, not the validity of the reasoning behind the choice prior to results.

    Augh, "is an unethical MO" and "is unethical imo" collide horribly. (curt as i'm writing at work).

    I'm really tired of people saying that "well person a thought they were right" is an excuse. It may be a reason, but it does not change the fact that person a was acting on invalid data and made a bad decision, ESPECIALLY if person a did not try to rectify their lack of data before implementing their solution.

    With a resounding cry of "Ahhhhh crap." from carriers relying on clients using only their devices.

    "You need to replace your phone? well then you can sign a new contract for a discount on our new..."

    "I already have a device to use for it right here....picked it up online, and its not part of your expected sell/refurb/resell cycles. I believe you know what you can do with your contract..."

    Course there will still be the "But don't you want 6 months of unlimited local talking and a discounted rate plan?!", still cuts out a lock in technique though.

    This just in: Perception is Reality! This seems like another rehash of the fact that our concept of "time" is determined by the rate our minds are working at (whatever analogy would be closest to clockspeed that actually fits...). It only make sense that the processes involved in an emergency situation would clock up as much as safely possible to increase the likelyhood of determining a solution before the "Dead"line.

    Thats not the point in my opinion.

    The point is more that they're changing the original positions that were claimed as fact to being positions they claim were based on what was probable. Thats a BIG difference in my book.

    Calling that propoganda is definitely overkill, but its nothing if not backpedaling.
