    It's not about graphics. It's about that on-die vector pipeline. Massive SIMD with the throughput to match.

    CUDE GPUs blow SSE out of the water by an order of magnitude for some classes of computation. SSE can do 2 x 64bit ops at once pipelined with loads and pre-fetches.

    btrfs does snapshotting and copy-on-write from read only media.

    I back my volumes up to Venti, it does black coalescing and daily snapshots, I can go back to any date I choose.

    I pay bills by phone with my debit card or by giro at a bank. My income is variable so having a Sword of DDamacles hovering over a particular day of the month is sometimes stressful.

    The bill I pay by cheque (Bristow & Sutor Debt Collectors) has a 3% surcharge for paying online with a debit card.
