    It's the same situation as when somebody would hack a bank and illicitly transfer the bank's funds per wire. That would also be just bits. Most of the money is virtual anyway, there is cash for only a fraction of all the money value stored in bank accounts.

    Why should things be priced based on their actual cost to the provider? It makes much more sense to demand a price, which maximizes the profit. If you decide to use the service, it's obviously worth the price and both parties have gained something from the transaction.

    The browser shouldn't be so insecure it has to be patched constanly in the first place. No, I don't have any suggestions how to do it better, but there must be a better way.

    Lots of posts describe how difficult it would be to take down this monstrosity. However, if students manage to get something that high with 150 $, so can surely some ingenious combatants as well. The bigger problem would be to get the payload, but surely not impossible, even with homebrewn methods.

    When talking about privacy, you should probably be aware that very many people can now connect your IRL identity with your online identity. There aren't that many companies, where somebody's holding a presentation about social networking security. Speaking about social networking, you seem to have a Myspace page..

    When you explain to these people how there is absolutely zero technical reason why they can't have a movie or song play on the DVD player in their living room, their iPod, their computer, and anywhere else (and anyway else) they want to play it, but that thanks to DRM systems incorporated into Windows 7 and Mac OS X, they are artificially restricted from doing so because some third party has decided to "manage their digital rights" for them, it definitely gets their attention.

    It's not the DRM in Windows 7 or Mac OS X, which hinders the media consumption on Linux, it's the lack of DRM on Linux.
