You're confused. Wireless is for people that have old houses that are the equivalent of an old man with a bad prostate. Wireless is what's for people that can't or won't get with the times.
> Adbsence of belief is agnosticism, not atheism. But agnosticism leaves the possibility of God existing to: status unknown. Not a position atheists are comfortable with.:p
Why would that make me comfortable. On the other hand, whatever religion you may have chosen out of fear of mortality may be equally WRONG. Just because the supernatural exists doesn't mean that YOU in particular are right about it.
Atheists only disbelieve in one more god than a monotheist.
Irish "freedom fighters" blew up plenty of nightclubs. No one tried to separate them from their ideology by raising the spectre of "mental illness". This is a blatant double standard. The guy was a militant extremist. There are entire countries full of them.
The need to explain this with "mental illness" is just a manifestation of how sheltered and out of touch some people are.
A lot of immigrants aren't just of the "I've got mine, screw everyone else" but they are also the sorts that have fully embraced their adopted culture. They have fully bought into the system. Quite often they did things in terms of the "straight and narrow". So they are likely going to be more "law and order" types because of that.
Native borns also really don't have any perspective to speak of. They're lazy and apathetic. They may think that there is no point in working too hard or they might simply not realize how good they have it.
This is why countries that can handle immigrants find them useful. They're fresh blood. However, that only helps if the fresh blood is willing to assimilate and be productive.
One politician decided to take the "low road" on this and promptly got his ass handed to him. Meanwhile, straight residents of Orlando are volunteering in numbers that the local blood banks can't cope with.
Sure. Let's take an inherently fascist idea and expand it. Lets strip people of their rights over less than a vague suspicion. Do you people EVER think shit through. The no fly list itself is bogus travesty. Doubling down on the stupid is not the answer.
> If I told you to make a bronze wheel 140mm in diameter with 233 perfectly spaced teeth, would you know how to do it? With tools that were available in 200 BC Greece?
Actually, the gears in question can be replicated with simple hand tools. It requires precision craftsmanship but that wasn't exactly in short supply in those days.
The Greeks were wicked good at Math. It was basically their thing.
When this show was on PBS a retired mechanical engineer created one of the cogs for the machine in about 5 minutes with hand tools. He also had a model of the machine already built.
The astronomical knowledge and mathematics that went into the machine are FAR more impressive than the mechanism itself.
> It is a purpse built analog mechanical computer.
No. It's a clock. It's a hand wound clockwork mechanism with about 200 gears. Calling it a computer is just sensationalist tripe. It's also highly misleading because most people reading or watching aren't going to think "clock" or "adding" machine when they hear the term computer.
> So you are happy fucking over an entire generation of authors or actors because of the work of some that came before?
It's more like... all they have is derivative trash and I already have the originals. Whether I buy or or whether I pirate it, it really doesn't matter. The fact that the back catalog is quite large means that I don't have to ever pay attention to the new stuff.
There is nothing "wrong" or "illegal" with that either.
Your attitude is the highest pinnacle of the entitlement mentality. It's despicable.
As fun as the fancy gadgetry is, it's always been kind of limited in terms of holding territory where the people don't want you there. This has been true from Vietnam to Afghanistan and is still true to a certain degree even with Iraq.
This is one of those "lets punish the evil people" memes run amok. This was originally created to deprive mobsters of the ability to defend themselves in court. As bad as enough as that is on principle, the underlying law has been expanded and abused over the decades so that it's applied to pretty much anything but organized crime.
Clinton was probably just a small part of the mob (the rampaging sort) when this stuff was first enacted.
This is why you have to be careful about you get manipulated into supporting.
Yeah. I can relate to that. My AP teacher filled my head full of nonsense my senior year in HS. That lead to a horrible shock once I got to college. Although this is really about first generation students. They have no frame of reference and can't get it from their family. If they are lucky, their families aren't committing active sabotage.
He also might not have pushed himself terribly hard in college. At my school there were 3 colleges with CIS programs and they varied dramatically in terms of difficulty and bullsh*t level. That's just one major out of in a continuum including Library Science and Electrical Engineering.
Well yeah. There's not a good black variant for the term "white trash". If you criticize any black person you will probably have the race card thrown at you. Meanwhile, the black middle class is vibrant and thriving despite of the current racist narrative coming from "progressives".
The fact that they use a track & field competition for their narrative is hilarious...
Of course you want to ignore the rest of his post. It has little gems like this:
> Looking at apple.com/uk pricing, the difference between the 512GB SSD and 1TB SSD is £400.
Good G*D is that overpriced. Mac storage is certainly not "cheap".
PC storage is cheap, even PC SSD storage. Unfortunately, YOU don't get to use it as an Apple fanboy.
> yeah now that disk is super duper cheap, let's use those optimizations designed for expensive storage
Apple doesn't use cheap storage. They don't even use industry standard stuff most of the time.
> because it's 2016 and disk compression isn't necessary for everyday use.
Apple products are always under equipped when it comes to storage.
> Apple has money that's vulnerable to baseless patent infringement lawsuits.
Creating your own separate implementation doesn't stop that.

Yaweh gets lumped in with Odin and Jupiter.

No. Use the bayonet.
The natives around here would scalp you. They did not go quietly. They're nothing like the saps from the first Thanksgiving.

Russia spend the better part of the last century trying to PURGE itself of religion of any sort.

They're going to think of a Turing machine.
It's an astronomical clock. It charted the movements of the moon and planets and predicted eclipses.
Calling it a "computer" is a bit of a stretch.

They might have been the largest corporation pushing it but they likely were not the biggest vendor ever.
It really wasn't terribly popular until someone cloned it and took it out of the hands of IBM.
