    No, it's not. To imply that assasinating Jose Padilla as he stepped off a plane is the moral equivalent same as holding him for a year as an enemy combatant, is repugnant.

    You're an idiot. We have something in the House of Representative called proportional representation. Obviously, outlawing slavery when the Constitution was ratified would have been ideal. Short of that, not counting slaves at all, in other words 0/5 of a person would have been far better than 3/5. This would have further limited the power of pro-slavery states instead of allowing them to increase their power in congress by counting enslaved people as partial citizens, who had no representation.

    It's also important to remember that the US Government has never made surplus M14's available to civilians. If someone has a Government issue M14 they stand the risk of going to prison, as was stolen at some point. Some of the other M-whatever manufacturers have stamped their rifles with an M14 mark, but they are not true M14's.
