India is seen as on US side only recently. In 80s & 90s Pakistan was US's friend and India is seen as closer to Soviet Union, even though it was part of Non-Aligned Movement. That delay part happened in 90s.
As for arguing the reasons of ban. I think any free service will have a clause that says something like, "... reserves the right to ban / terminate any member account without assigning any reason whatsoever".
I looked up in Facebook terms page. Sure enough, it exists under the heading 'Termination'. Hard to argue after accepting this condition.
Yes, motorcycles are the fastest way to commute in most Indian cities. Not only the 'spot fines' are low, the chances of paying these fines are also low. Most people get away with traffic irregularities as long as it didn't end in an accident.
