"up to" should be limited to a certain ratio of oversold capacity. You can say "up to" only when you're oversold by 20:1.
So if you have a 40Mbps line but there are 40 subscribers, you can only say "up to 20Mbps" even if the line is capable of 40Mbps peak. 20:1 might be low, but I don't run a last-mile network (it likely depends on the total number of subscribers on a node).
"Up to" is a fact of life, because few people can afford a 1:1 dedicated line. Even business-class service is oversold for a good reason. But that doesn't mean "up to" can't have reasonable limits to claims.
"3D specific" scenes are annoying to 3D watchers who like good storytelling, too. 3D is being used way too much as a gimmick instead of enhancing the story subtly.
If you watch in in HFR 3D the CGI jumps to the forefront of problems. Live action is hard enough to get used to at 48fps, especially with closeup shots. But they really didn't get the motion right in some of the battle scenes and it just looks like a video game.
This is why JJ Abrams said he wouldn't direct Episode VII back in 2012:
Look, Star Wars is one of my favorite movies of all time. I frankly feel that – I almost feel that, in a weird way, the opportunity for whomever it is to direct that movie, it comes with the burden of being that kind of iconic movie and series. I was never a big Star Trek fan growing up, so for me, working on Star Trek didn’t have any of that, you know, almost fatal sacrilege, and so, I am looking forward more than anyone to the next iterations of Star Wars, but I believe I will be going as a paying moviegoer!
Two months later, he was announced as director. He should have trusted himself enough to not direct it. It was almost like fanfiction rather than a real movie, and that's exactly what I thought would happen with him as director.
Funny, you only quote yourself (both talking in first person and 3rd-person) - not very universal. I could quote dozens if not hundreds of people who consider you a troll. I could, but I really don't think it's worth my time. But I invite you to do it yourself.
blows a lot of hot erroneous windbag blowhard air
This is genuinely hilarious. I'm not sure how a scrambled line of air-related words is supposed to form a coherent thought, but it's really entertaining.
Yes, APK's opinion of me is my life. If you don't approve, I will immediately jump off a bridge.
Maybe omnichad should talk about himself in the third person. DO you think that will get omnichad to feel like he has supporters? Will it give omnichad magic powers such that whenever his name is called, omnichad will be invoked as if a demonic force in the world and rain fire down?
Maybe I should RANDOMLY capitalize WORDS and put some in bold for good measure.
omnichad
P.S. => You are universally seen as a troll here on Slashdot. It doesn't matter whether you are right or not. You don't treat people right.
YOU PUT OUT THE WRONG ORDER FOR HOSTS BLOCKING or HARDCODING in hosts, stupid
Well I'd better get my syntax right - what if someone tried to paste my comment into a HOSTS file. No, I don't live and breathe HOSTS, and by default it comes with documentation in the comments within the file itself. I don't even block ads, so I pay the "taxes" for your Slashdot.
What's next, requiring an opening tag for a </sarcasm> tag? Renaming Slashdot to./ (for current events)?
Not all manufacturing is done by a subsidiary. If you hire out manufacturing, you're importing your own merchandise - not buying it. You own it while it's overseas, too.
If the sales tax only applies to imported goods, it's a tariff. Same way that the individual mandate penalty for not purchasing insurance under ACA is an income tax. If it floats like a duck...
But that's only a matter of a couple dollars in manufacturing cost to avoid this. If we can send electronics on an F-22 or a space shuttle, we can get an oven to be hardy against the harsh environment. But the electronics for an oven aren't in the heat. The thermostat is really the only thing with an excuse to fail from heat. A Core i7 gets hotter than the CPU in an oven control panel.
Once he wins that maybe he'll move the goalposts and try to win at being president. Not for his personal beliefs, but to truly win at it. After all, if it's just a big game to him, he will have to find a new game after he wins.

Clearly you didn't see the high frame rate version. It did not turn out well at all.

Which one do you put the Hobbit movies into (specifically the HFR 3D version)?
A lot of the time, it is a "let's 3D this movie" afterthought, with most of these movies not even being filmed stereoscopically.
Watch a movie like Hugo in 3D and you can see it used artistically without a gimmick.

It's about as big a difference between Republicans and Democrats - not much, really.
Just wait until they figure out that this enables hackers to ransom/post photos of them with their mistress.
When I take out my SIM card, my phone still boots.
The difference is that Democrats want the federal government to have the power. Republicans want big business to have that much power.
Is that all one sentence or just word vomit?
First episode was so disturbing I never made it any further. That's not to say it's a bad show but maybe too good for me.
you're universally seen as a massive loser

You pay for their air with your taxes?
It may get warm, but I doubt much above 200Â F.
You would, but it would be hard to structure a law to see it that way.
Not all manufacturing is done by a subsidiary. If you hire out manufacturing, you're importing your own merchandise - not buying it. You own it while it's overseas, too.
You are now, but you weren't before:
raise import taxes at the borders
Although you're still saying:
It will impact imports slightly more
And I don't know how that would be the case if it's a flat tax.

...compromised IT hardware and firmware and it has become untenable to secure our computer networks without securing our supply chain.
So then our equipment will only be compromised by the NSA.
