It just blows my mind that this is the kind of stuff we are worried about with all that is going on in the world...I seriously can't even... gah...so frustrated.
2 things. First: I am a pessimist and generally a cynical person. That being said, I don't find this shocking because I hold the belief that most Americans are stupid enough to rely on medical information given to them from a 13 year old kid with a youtube account.
Second: The funny thing about this is, reliable medical information can be found on the internet, and no, not just WebMD. A relative of mine went in for spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal column, where nerves are housed.) They were supposed to go in, widen the spinal column, then get out. Well when she got out she noticed she had a tingling in her left foot, then her left leg, then as the drugs wore off, her entire ladyparts region. Come to find out her doctor had decided to go a little farther down that what he was supposed to do because "it looked tight."
This resulted in permanent damage to the cauda quinine nerves. The doctor didn't mention this to anyone. Well, she hops on the internet and ends up self diagnosing cauda quinine syndrome, and after seeing some specialists, turns out she was right.
What I am getting at is it is no suprise people are turning to alternate sources of medical information when we can't even trust the guys who get paid more money than the pope to make these discoveries for us.
I'll be honest, sometimes I wonder to myself how I ever got so desensetized. When I can watch a video of a prisoner in iraq get his head sawed off and not blink an eye... maybe that means I should cut down on the violence...
Screw it, time to go beat up some GTAIII hookers for cash.
Interesting... I never really considered a console gamer's perspective to be quite honest. I've been a PC man through and through sprinkled with a little SNES, Xbox and some Wii. I can see your point, what was there really that was all that great before Halo came out? I am not sure since I never really got involved in the console world, but yea... I can see your point.
Ok, ok, maybe crap was too harsh.. but you have to admit it was put on a pedastel and hailed as the second coming of Christ when it was... slightly above average at best.
When will gamers start accepting games for works of art? It used to be about difficulty. It used to be about points. It used to be about kill count. Now I think more developers are moving towards the adventure...immersing yourself in a creative and well thought out storyline...and unfortunately alot of gamers don't appreciate that.
Of course there are games that ARE absolute crap and deserve a good thrashing *cough*Halo anyone? What huh... did I say that out loud? *cough* DIVERT POWER TO SHIELDS MR. CHAKOTAY! INCOMING FAN BOY PROTON TORPEDOES.
The company I work for made me sign an agreement before I was hired. Anything I do or create belongs to them while I am at work or even if I create something that deals with my industry on my own time, it's theirs. This post...yea... belongs to them.

I feel the need to "LOL" at that comment. If only I had mod points...
A study found mis-information... on.. the internet...? Where's the shocker here?

So, does this mean no more browsing naughty sites on my wireless connection for my Wii?
"Common office implement" AKA: Paper clip and some whiteout I hear Richard Dean Anderson was on the testing team, so really, that's their own fault.
The blots are coded to shut your brain down if you don't have a valid regkey.
Would you blame the drug dealer for selling the cocaine that killed the student? It's a 2 way street.
