  1. Not surprised...? on Undersea Cable Cut Circumstances Examined · · Score: 0

Honestly I am not surprised this happens as often as the article cites. Conspiracy theorists need to get a life. These cables are subject to coral, rocks, currents and shifting water... is it any wonder they wear through with the constant rubbing up against rocks and whatnot? I just think it's a little far fetched to think this is some grand government conspiracy... that was exposed... on the internet.... Just my opinion though.

Quick thought.... do most people have a dedicated T1 line for downloading movies at high speeds an en masse?

I have DSL, most people have what... Comcast? I just don't think the technology is there and commonly available at a price we can afford to make the average college student some huge pirate. Most of us play CS/WoW/TF2... and uhhh.. we don't like our latency slowed down by downloading movies...so ... we don't? They failed to compensate for the gamers...!! THE GAAMMERRSS!!!

Yea... crazy Mormons... believing some random dude named Jesus who raised dead people... turned water in to wine.... walked across a stormy sea... all based of some 2,000 year old book... friggin nutbags.

Oh wait... Christians too? Well shoot dang! Basing who I am going to vote for off religion and what I deem to be CRAAAZZZYYY pretty much rules out EVERYONE! Guess I won't vote, does that make me a Democrat?

    But the TRUST!! THE TRUUUSSTTT

In 2006, the Electronic Frontier Foundation lodged a class action lawsuit, Hepting v. AT&T, which alleged that AT&T had allowed agents of the National Security Agency (NSA) to monitor phone and Internet communications of AT&T customers without warrants. If true, this would violate the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 and the First and Fourth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. AT&T has yet to confirm or deny that monitoring by the NSA is occurring.

This was my first thought. Too damn expensive. I bought an ipod touch because of the price.... I pay $400 and that's it. AT&T is just too expensive, I wasn't about to blow $400 on the phone then $1200 on a year contract...plus I don't trust At&T >.
