People say that alot, but... I went through a few phases... I was completely addicted to my family and my job til a friend convinced me to do a 30 day trial of wow. Then I became addicted to that and only that. Sure, maybe I'm just one depressed son of a gun. Maybe I just needed an escape, sure.. But I kinda liked my old escapes better than when WoW was my escape.
I did manage to quit wow, and have since turned my addictions to spending time with my kids... but I gotta tell you... It was hairy there for a while...
Unless you're hopelessly brainwashed by some cult (religion and/or political) then theres absolutely nothing wrong with kids seeing porn. If you are ultra-conservative enough to think that porn will damage your kids, then you are prolly being a hypocrite anyways, as neither of those institutions believe adults should even partake in consumption of pornography.
I don't have mod points today, so I feel compelled to instead reply to this post with a vehement "Hell ya!". I have been trying to convince people for years that a self signed cert is FAR BETTER than no cert at all. But the browsers... they belie the security implications horridly. The browsers themselves are teaching people that no security is better than self managed security, which doesn't do anything good except drive revenue to the Root CAs.
My father in law lives in west bumfuck, farmland. They tried for years to get BPL working there. But the sad fact of reality is that powerlines just arent up to the task. His community sunk massive funds into that project and they only ever managed to serve like 10 customers. And it was slow. And they all left for some type of LoS wi-fi. (I know not the underlying tech that went in, but its several towers at the tops of hills, and he himself had to install a 4 story tower in his yard.) They have all been very pleased with their wi-fi. And it was much cheaper than the powerline nonsense.
Thanks for that. In the future I'll be sure to ask your permission before making a post. You know, just in case you are in the mood for an "informative" post when I was preparing a "funny" post. I can't believe I have been so careless as to have offended you with the wrong post type. I do hope you can eventually find it in your heart to forgive me. Not now, I understand, your heart still burns with rage. But maybe years from now you will be able to look back on my penance and see that I am worthy of forgiveness.
My only question is, how much more insult to our intelligence can we take as a society before we start actively protesting?
Yea, um. Ok, I'll start protesting against the insult to my intelligence that is your posts. I mean, since you requested action, I feel compelled to deliver.

Even a Faux wall would have been sweet. Or a decorative mount for the passkey device... something... anything. ugh, why'd you have to mention that!?!?!?
yes, GP needs to re-evaluate his understanding of that word. Cynicism is EXACTLY what one should practice when one doesn't have the experience for insight.
Lately, I wonder that same thing. This used to be "news for nerds" and if you've never met someone who works in nuclear power, then you've no idea how just how nerdy someone can get.
um, no, thats not what I mean at all. I mean, the stuff we dropped tons of developer dollars into is the stuff that will get a return on investment, and is not the glamorous stuff we see in tvs.
What happened? It morphed from something useless into something useful. We're still decades away from a computer that can answer questions when vocally asked, but that doesn't mean that we don't have any AI. It's just that we are taking the practical approach to getting there.
Being a beach bum costs significantly more than 15$/month.

No, that I did not. But it's very... shall we say "enlightening" that this is what comes to mind for you.
Yes, you just confirmed that the masses are hopelessly brainwashed. That was never up for debate.

Really show's the maturity of our leaders there.

Believe it or not, but you too can actually post as AC! It's amazing, I know! Just check that box you see right after the subject of your post.

BSD is not dying permanently, its just going through a rebirth cycle. Recently, it was reborn as a mac.

If I look out my window, there's an apple tree. bBut perhaps that's not what OP meant. /shrug

My Moneys on google. I haven't seen Nokia do anything right in years.
Cancer is only one potential risk. The sun worshipers I've known still are wrinkled way beyond their years.
I like to call those fun lines. Its the tradeoff you make when having fun.And this was the first thing I read after stumbling out of bed at 2 AM cause I couldn't fall asleep.
So JDHannan is one of your sockpuppets?
The only thing is... I'm worried about how much damage its replacement will cause.

I read the summary 5 times wondering why the hell a ICANN was messing with TLDs. Ya, oh... the "other" tld... right. um.. moving along now...
