  1. Congratulations on Geek Wins Copyright Lawsuit Against Corporation · · Score: 1

Is nice to see that the justice system can still work for the common man in this country yet. Gives me hope. Thanks for sharing the news of your victory. Sounds like justice was served. Hopefully you will actually get your money, winning a suit and collecting are two different issues unfortunately. Mr. father-in-law was awarded 2.2 million about 8 years ago and has yet to see one dime of the money.

I agree...except my definition of ethics is insisting on doing what's right "especially" when no one is lookng. Peace with the man in the mirror. Wouldn't work for a lot of people, but I like to think it would work for "most" people.

Another example of why I purchased my first Mac. I understand that business and government have millions, hell, billions invested in Microsoft products and most are too committed to switch OS's, but other OS's (good OS's) are out there. SLED 10.3 is a prime example IMHO.

  5. Re:2031?! on First Details of Manned Mars Mission From NASA · · Score: 1
The Discovery channel series "Mars Rising" stated in one of the episodes I watched that the estimated cost to put a human on Mars and return them "safely" back to Earth would be $55 billion dollars and that over the 10 year period that it would take to prepare and accomplish this, the cost would be within the current NASA budget.

I hope we one day find out. Exciting stuff.
