Anyone else find it amusing that they are so concerned about being offensive to gays, but where is the consideration about being offensive to everyone else? Its one of the great things about America nowdays that the "rights" of the minority are honored at the expense of the majority.

On a side note, I used to know someone named Rei back in the good ol' days when PvP in WoW meant a 24/7 tug of war up in Hillsbrad. Female undead rogue? Man, if this is you then I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!! >: You ganked me so many times I still have nightmares.

Agreed. She claims to have been harrassed so much and people following her to new servers just to insult her. Why announce it to begin with? If you know something is going to be a problem and there is no benifit to it, then go out of your way to do it?

Seems to me that more and more gays/lesbians are looking to start fights just because they can play the discrimination trump card. Heck, not just gays/lesbians but a lot of minorities play that game.

Depends on you. For a general snap shot that happens to have my family, that may be true. On the other hand, your behavior of taking repeated pictures of private property can be reasonable cause for suspicion in and of itself. So the picture taking itself might not be illegal per se, but coupled with other factors it might raise reasonable suspicion.

"PLAYXPERT is built to work with XP and Vista for both 32 and 64 bit systems - however - the 'In-Game Overlay' system is not currently operational for Vista or 64bit systems. The Vista overlay system will be made available via the auto-updater in January 2009 and 64bit support will shortly follow. "

Actually to me that stinks of bad AI. A guy wandering away and coming back to exactly where you are via a different route is fishy as they should loose track of you. Good pathing is not a substitute for real AI. In FEAR with limited path options it makes more sense for flanking, but on a mountain that is just a prescripted action.

If they arent disturbing anyone, why is it a problem? It only is going to effect their own grades. Kind of like the people who yell "hush" in a theater, they are causing more of a disruption than the *problem* itself. How long exactly did the teacher spend on this?

The only exception I see is during tests or something where they could pass answers.

I see your point, but the difference is that I consider even construction workers to be shifting to the thinker group. The tools and equipment used now require some degree of proficiency. Granted, it is faster to learn how to drive a backhoe than to write code, but it is still a skill and there is a big difference between the guy that just learned and someone who has more experience.

When I said manual labor, I'm thinking more like digging a ditch with a shovel, virtually anyone can do it. Now we use a backhoe driven by a guy who had to learn it. Not everyone can learn that equally (just take a look at the freeway...)

Really, in the USA there isnt much old fashioned manual labor anymore. Maybe cleaning, movers, and those temporary hire jigs where you call up and get a few guys to do some dirty work on the weekend. Even trucking takes some degree of talent that not everyone can learn.

  25. Re:Interesting but wrong idea on Spiraling Skyscraper Farms For a Future Manhattan · · Score: 1

No it doesnt because along with a the decrease in the need of farm workers there is an increase in farming efficiency. Less land needed to produce the same amount of food. We are still a long long way away from utilizing all available farm land in the world, and if we ever have a population that high, we will have bigger problems.

There isnt really a food shortage *in the world*. There are food shortages in certain *countries*. We have way more than we need here, but since they also have money shortages, it stays here. Thats why I said its a problem of distribution and not production.
