    Yes. with the correct map I can not only give you my location within 10 meters, but I can communicate my exact location easily and quickly to someone else.

    About 3 inches. The GPS satellites transmit signals on two carrier frequencies. The L1 carrier is 1575.42 MHz and carries both the status message and a pseudo-random code for timing. The L2 carrier is 1227.60 MHz and is used for the more precise military data stream

    Salt water attenuates 1.5ghz signals quite effectively.

    Military grids on a map IS a system. and it is the most commonly used map based navagation system out there you call out over the radio your grind numbers and the other person can easily know what you mean.

    99.9765% of people that use GPS's dont care about that, they just want it to work.

    and you are incorrect, because libraries are not roving beasts that require constant location database updates, standalone GPS devices can easily hold a POI database with this information.

    Now if Standalone GPS makers would hire competent programmers, we could have this.

    Burning it's assets and operating capitol. They know that the illegal drug trade is their only form of income, so you either try to burn all the poppy fields or you utterly flood the market with insanely cheap product to the point that they cant make any money.

    Most of his funding came from "micro" donations. He was asking for Change as in small bills and coins.

    The answer is never buy a smart TV. They offer no advantages over a dumb TV and a Roku box and only offer disadvantages.

    I have Glass and I rarely use it anymore... I replaced it with a product that I dont worry about losing or damaging and provides what I need in the same really easy to get format.

    I replaced my Glass with a Pebble watch. Quick glance at any of the info I need, plus I can easily interact. And It's $129 (whine at Best Buy and they will discount it) so if I smash it or get robbed, I dont care.

    I still wear Glass for special occasions or if we dress up to go out, Nothing screams rich like wearing a $1500 toy on your head, It's the same as wearing a Rolex only you get more nods from the other rich guys.

    dedicated GPS devices fail on "fuzzy" information.

    ME: Take me to the nearest Library
    Phone: give me choices, I click and off I go.
    Dedicated GPS : ........ DOES NOT COMPUTE! ERROR! ERROR! EXTERMINATE!

    So because some unknown guy does not like them, it's solid proof that it's a failure? Honestly he is someone that has a sensitivity to them and is having issues, I know a lot of people with Glass that do not suffer from the eye strain or the inability to not look at it when talking to others. And I am sure there are others that have the same eye strain and sensitivity problems. I know as a glasses wearer I do find shifting focus to be difficult for Glass

    Lastly, the things are in OPEN BETA, If anyone expects it ti be perfect and ready for prime time, then they are being mential. He is damn lucky they will give him a full refund. I cant get HTC to give me a full refund on my HTC ONE M8 after a few weeks when I discover it's a big steaming pile of crap. (and it is, I do have one. The nexus 5 is twice the phone and overall better in every way)

    Some cities it's worse... the "agreement" in my local town is that you negotiate a franchise license with the city and you can have your cable TV/Internet company.
    If you dont sign up to pay kickbacks to the local government, then you can not start doing business as you will be breaking the law. Yes, it is ILLEGAL to start a cableTV or ISP business in my city unless you negotiate to pay tribute to city hall in regular installments in the form of a kickback.

    not ONE american car company, chevy, ford,chrysler makes american cars. they are ALL made outside the USA or the majority of them are (in parts and assemblies)

    BMW and Honda are MORE american made than any other car because they are actually made here with parts made here.

    Very VERY little is actualy made here anymore and you an slap a "made in america" sticker on things made of china parts. For example... Harley Davidson bikes are 60% china parts and assembled in Mexico and Canada.

    yet the complete morons that buy them think they are riding american.

    Yes it will pay for it's own lawyer and insurance with ADVERTISEMENTS! your car is prime AD space and will automatically display and play static and video ad's on the inside and OUTSIDE of the car!

    because you are not going to be distracted by loud noises the adverts will play without adjustable volume inside the car and will display on all glass surfaces.
