    You are an abnormal lefty, as my wife and I both mouse with the left hand and use the right hand ctl,alt,shift keys.

    Yeah, that fingerprint crap is easy to strip out. Amazon mp3 files have it and you can easily download several tools to scrub the watermarking information out.

    "Getting the information from your old system to an out of the box solution is going to be a huge hassle, and you will probably end up losing a lot of data in the process."

    It is absolutely possible for someone that has a clue how to work with databases to get the information from on to the other without losing anything. Unles the origional system was written in VB6 and is using some wierd ass system you cant run SQL queries or stored proceeders on.

    Get the data out as a dump, and a little perl or python and you can get it into the new DB easily after a few tests.

    Yeah. go ahead and try to jam a directional satellite link with a general area jammer. there is 60db of attenuation alone if you are not above the aircraft.

    the onboard jammer would have to be HUGE to affect anything outside of a short range, or the thing would have to be on top of it, so you might as well just use a heat seeking missile and blow it up.

    It's why I have no qualms in having my MythTV box at a friends house recording it for me and I get the files sent ot me via dropbox automatically.

    Screw them. I give my buddy $10 a month for the box to sit there on his CATV and power.
