Wow! here in the USA you dont own anything, not even any LAND you claim to own. you have a Ownership title and a Occupancy permit, but those can be revoked by the local, state, or federal government at any time. Very VERY few people hold a real deed to their property here. The government does not like allowing people to actually own what they buy.

It's a neat idea it just doesnt work.. at least for the payment systems. every time over the past 30 times I have tried it, it takes 50X longer to pay at the register with NFC than whipping out the credit card and swiping. It has to have a constant data connection to the Wallet servers during the transaction, and 99% of all stores have a Cellphone blocking design of being made with all metal roofs and siding.

I've uninstalled Google Wallet because it's a complete failure. If it cant work without a live data connection, it's stillborn.

Depends on the broadcaster. PBS here is 1080i at full bandwidth. ABC here is 720p at 1/2 bandwidth as they also insert another 4 SD channels. CBS around here is also 720p but 3/4 bandwidth as they have only 1 SD channel added...

Everything on CableTV and dish is 720p. it's all compressed heavily as well. at Comcast we smashed every channel down to 1.8Mbps for HD and 890Kbps for SD.

I have months of shows on my 1TB MythTV box. that is a mix of HD and SD content... Mostly HD lately. you can compress the crap out of Cable/Sattelite TV HD and not notice because it's already compressed to hell and back. Each episode of The daily Show in HD is only taking 250mb of space at 720p (it's broadcast in 720p, so any more resolution is a waste) and it looks as good as the live broadcast does.

If you dont go insane and record 90 shows a day, 1 TB holds a little over 2 months of programming.

For the screen size you are looking at a 720p highly compressed movie weighing in at 500-600 megabytes is very acceptable to most people. 64 gig means you have room for 100 movies. What normal person wants to carry around about 100 movies all the time? I load up MAX 5 of them if I'm on a long flight, and they get replaced with something else on a regular basis.

Now books? I have a thousand books I'll never read on there...
