"In a few years I think 3D will become more popular."
I dont. It has never became popular in the 20 some reintroductions in the theater.
Why? because 95% of films shot are NOT shot in 3d but psudeo 3d.
There has been exactly 3 films shot in the latest iteration of 3d. all the rest are fake 3d that are processed to look 3d but fall down hard or are CG only movies.
3d is a utter failure and it ruins the regular theater experience. they dont remove the 3d lens for regular movies so they end up darker because theater owners are lazy.
Hello? Linux is a serious OS. tons of companies rely on it daily for critical systems that make far more money per minute than you will ever make in a year.
I am sorry you have problems running a SERVER OPERATING SYSTEM for use as a CONSUMER OPERATING SYSTEM.. Maybe it's just too advanced for your skillset.
Last night I could not unmount a disk from linux, it would just hang. I power cycled the box and interrupted the auto mounting cycle and ran FSCK on the disk, it came back clean until I ran fsck -f
Suddenly it's got errors galore and that is why it was mounted read only and would not unmount.
Linux is not stable yet. -sarcasm...
All operating systems have their bugs. if you think you have a computer that requires no maintenance, you are nuts.
OO.o and Libre can be set to default to Office formats and I have yet to see anyone have a formatting change problem unless someone is doing something really wierd.
1 - work software for the hardware is all windows only and does not work under linux or OSX... I try this almost yearly, it's as if they intentionally write it to not work under wine.
2 - Video editing. I cant afford a Mac Pro and the FCP suite anymore so I use Sony Vegas. There is NO video editing tools that actually work under linux. No Cinerella is a joke, and all the others are toys like iMovie. I need real tools like Vegas and After Effects. Linux is epic fail at this.
3 - with the recent bastardization of Ubuntu and Gnome... Lunix has once again lost useability for me. I need to once again wait a year while these developers get a clue and fix the problems.
I run linux for everything important, like servers, VoiP phone system, and Media center.. but as a general use OS for a desktop or laptop it's back to failure again. Linux seems to do this every 5 years for some reason.
Honestly they failed to evolve. It's their own fault for not moving foreward.
The last couple of blackberry's were great, but it was too little too late. Many many corporations are switching to Android phones and iphones that do a lot more WITHOUT the horribly overpriced special blackberry server and service fees.
They not only missed the boat, they priced themselves out of the market.
Why are these wastes of humanity wasting time on crap like this instead of pulling their heads out of their arses and dealing with the economy?
Honestly, Our Congress is a complete and utter joke, they are an embarrassment to the united states, and to every single American citizen. None of the congressmen that claim they are on the side of the people have the balls to call out the scumbags in there which makes them just as scumbaggy.
But then the president does not have the balls to do it either, so I guess every single one of them are spineless.
All you need to do is give the bees an escape route, plastic tubes are used all the time for indoor hives.
Problem is, hive maintenance is a PITA. Beehives need to be maintained, they are not automatic by the bees, the wax buildup in a active hive will become huge if you dont harvest it regularly.
Any fool with some wood, plexiglass and PVC pipe can make an indoor hive.. BUT, if you dont maintain it and help them swarm to new hives, they will find a way to expand outside your hive and int your home. Bees can eat through wood and plaster quite easily.
really? So the 120 years worth of oil under the United states that we are not using so that we can use up the other guys resources first will be gone instead in 50 years?
Or are you just being dumb and making a statement based on what your friends tell you instead of actual information.
"end of oil" is more than 1 generation away. with the newer deep drilling tech they are finding more and more large oil fields deep down. I suggest you get more eduction about oil, there is a lot more of it out there than you think, and the higher prices are slowing consumption as dumb people switch from Hummer H1 and H2's to vehicles that get 20-30 mpg. The problem is the poor cant switch, so they continue to drive the klunkers that get 12-16mpg.
if you really wanted to save the planet, you would support a program to give all poor people a 40mpg subcompact car in exchange for their junker.
Correct, because it's significantly more difficult than Rocket science.
Only recently have we been able to model weather patterns with some semblance of accuracy. The math involved makes building and launching a rocket a 8th grade science project.
They can have the changes to the DMCA they want as long as all Intellectual Property is taxed at the claimed price they have put up in the courts... at property tax rates. If at any time they claim a value in court, it will go on record that that is the value for each and every piece of IP of that type industry wide.
" The absolute most difficult part of a teleconference is managing when/how people speak,"
really? then the person that set up the teleconference is not doing his/her job. It is their job to keep everything moving and to cue people to talk. Plus who does phone only conferences anymore? with videoconference this eliminates this.
Problem is for some reason far end Conference rooms are all in dungeons. Or the executives there ignore their AV engineers and don't install proper lighting in the room and at least a 10,000 lumen projector or use a plasma to overcome the added lighting needed for the cameras.
"So even if electricity was free the leaf will be a better value than the Sentra. "
No even if Electricity was free the Leaf is a poor value compared to the Sentra. The Leaf will have to have it's batteries replaced at least once by the time you reach that mileage at the tune of $6800-8900US.
Also you forgot the Cost of installing the Leaf charging station at home another $5000US before you can even charge it. The eco pundits want people to ignore that small fact.
Finally, if you live somewhere other than california where it's 70 degrees all the time, the Leaf's battery will need far more frequent replacement. NYC,Chicago,Detroit latitudes expect battery replacement every 3 years. Texas and other south states might be worse as heat damages batteries more than cold. another small fact about electric cars that the eco pundits again hope most people ignore or do not bring up.
It's range is too small for the united states. I dare someone to drive it 50 miles in chicago or NYC without it running out of juice. It's priced as a rich persons toy and out of the reach of the populace where it would do some good. It's a failure from day one. Short range and $40,000 total cost to get it operational in your driveway. Fail-Fail.
Ebay and some bits of wire will get me the battery without leasing it. there is a buttload of dell laptop batteries out there for cheap. There was one company selling remanufacturered Prius packs as well out there for quite cheap.
"you can buy a nice used car for less with better range."
I can buy a used BMW 750i for that price. I can buy a 1962 Cessna single engine for that price. In flint I can buy 2 houses for that price. In Montana I can buy 150 acres for that price. In mexico I can have 4 people killed for that price. In California I can buy 2 loaves of bread and a gallon of milk for that price.

Too bad that is not reality in any way.
ipad lets me view and hear anything.
AppleTV does the same.
ipod, iphone, etc...
have you even touched an apple product before?
And use MemoryStick only.
ring ring....

Turbo Tax online is identical to turbo tax installed. I have done my taxes on turbo tax online under linux the last 2 years and it works perfect.
"Microsoft is finally selling Outlook for Mac, but it's still kind of crappy and unstable in comparison."
Finally? I've been running "out;look" on mac for years... and it has always been crappy and unstable. Typical of Microsoft software.
Fake reason.
OO.o and Libre can be set to default to Office formats and I have yet to see anyone have a formatting change problem unless someone is doing something really wierd.
Even OO calc works with excel scripts now.

Humane?
What do you think happens when we get honey? we squish bees and the sweet stuff comes out?
I suggest you learn as to how honey is made and harvested.

Suddenly the RIAA and MPAA, and BSA will shut up.
Their claims of Losing money is also vastly different than what happens in reality as well.
Matching their fairytale with another one is absolutely correct.

helmet cam is the answer
We still dont have affordable video conference phones.
How about creating a Video conference standard and forcing the world to adhere to it instead of the fragmented mess we have now?
The bugatti Veyron is also "reasonably priced" as they only make 4 a year and they are always "sold out"
That is the ridiculousness of that statement.

are you insane? Leaf is NOT reasonably priced for a entry level subcompact economy car class. I can buy a BMW 325 for it's price.
Leaf needs to be $14,900 THEN it's reasonable priced.
