    e ink large format display for CAD drawings. E size paper please and able to roll it up.

    It's easier because someone else thinks it is.

    I personally think it lowered useability 10 fold. it is not a PITA to find apps, and configuration went from granular to fisher price mess.

    I have. I looked back to the last version that had Gnome. Kubuntu on a laptop with a synaptics trackpad is painfull because they decided to NOT have the synaptics daemon installed and the tools to configure that abortion of technology to ignore palms or be disabled when typing.

    Honestly why does Linux get really good and then some nimrod decides to set it back 5 years by doing a stupid change that nobody likes? This happens every 5-6 years with linux.

    You got it. Today, unless you have a dedicated Email server guy it's retarded to run an Exchange server in house. Outside companies do it better and when the Company Fiber goes down YET AGAIN (Thanks AT&T) you dont lose 24 hours of emails, we actually lost 72 hours worth as AT&T decided that working over the weekend was not important.

    IT backed up the PDF files that goodreader had in it's data file area. so it DOES back up PDF files. I'm guessing the idiot that wrote the article is whining about some app that is poorly written, and everyone is simply joining in on the whining without any facts.

    I havent checked in iBooks, but I am betting they havent released an update to that app to take advantage of iCloud yet. While Goodreader had a new version ready to go.

    Yes.

    amazon does not add more special ebook servers. they simply added a new service to send very low bandwidth ebooks. In fact a ebook uses LESS amazon bandwidth than the typical browsing session by someone looking to buy something.

    Or did you not know much about amazon's Kindle service.

    and I can take out ebooks from the library. I do it weekly on my iPad. I believe the android tablets also can do this as well.

    I actually know about 5 people that make about $80,000 a year US writing soft core and bisexual porn ebooks. The number of people doing that outnumber big name authors 900 to 1.

    ebooks are king in the kink and softcore world.

    HG Wells entire works are FREE.
    Shakespeare's works are completely FREE

    over at project Gutenberg there are tens of thousands of FREE ebooks written by people that are a lot better at writing than you ever will be and have written amazing things. Utterly amazing books. in fact you can spend your entire life reading only books written by the greatest writers and you will die before you finish them.

    maybe if you had a clue as to what free ebooks were available you might know what you are talking about.

    I have no problem paying a REASONABLE PRICE for a book. $25.99 for an Advnaced SQL book? sure. $75.99 for that same one? no way in hell.

    Latest novel from my favorite author? I'll pay $3.00 less than paperback price for it on ebook format if it's DRM free so I can give it to a friend when I am done reading it. $3.00 less for a version that I cant give away when I am done? Screw that.

    I have several friends that we all loan or trade books, and everyone I have talked to has said, "no lending or trading of ebooks is a FAIL"

    If you wait a year, suddenly the good books are obvious and the crap is in the $0.99 bin. I end up look less trendy, and less like a lemming and I end up spending less because I also end up paying for it used. But then I'm evil. Only evil people buy used books.

    The problem is that Modern Corperate culture discourages this. you dont see real leaders with real vision and the knowlege to back it up in CEO positions anymore because the Boards DO NOT WANT THEM.

    Why? because they are not easy to control.

    Steve Jobs, Bill Gates BOTH also had one thing that set them apart. They STARTED the companies they were running. They have far more passion than anyone else in that position. Howard Hughes was a Steve Jobs in many ways. he was an Aviation Genius that also had some serious leadership skills. The Aviation industry has not had a leader like that since.

    The only way to return to greatness is corporate reform. And with the current crop of easily bought idiots that keep getting elected, that will not happen any time soon.
