what was fun was mooning and flipping people off from the back seat in the station wagon. Dad cant see what you are doing and he wonder why everyone passing is honking at him and flipping him off.
I agree, the 1080p I get out of that 7 inch complete crap quality screen in the car is AMAZING!
a bad rip on an ipad will be 80X better than a bluray played on the garbage screen in any car.
yes even if you bought the best screen you can get, it's still utter crap compared to the screen on the iPad or even a 15" cheapie PC monitor. Car monitors are barely 320X240 resolution. High end ones are 640X420
Buddy of mine ripped the DVD player out of his and left the screen. he built a XBMC to feed the screen and headphones and carries 250 gigs of movies and TV shows in the car with no cluttler at all.
Exactly, this is nothing but sensationalism. I got my daughter a Archos 404 back when she was 12-13 and jammed it with a ton of videos and TV shows. It was far cheaper than any flipdown or headrest player and did far more. No carrying discs around, ran and charged off the car, worked perfect.
the iPad will do this only for the people that had their heads in the sand for the past decade and paid no attention to what has been available for cheaper with higher capacity.
Welcome to America. My 18 year old daughter is getting charged with a FELONY for kicking a door. She was trying to get the jammed door open to get back to her work area, the asshole federal building superintendent called up his asshole brother cop and he wrote it up. She did no damage to the door, they have no evidence, the cop was not even there. (Illinois it's a level 4 felony for doing damage under $500.00 to a federal building. $0.00 is under $500.00)
I'm paying $400.00 an hour to get this dropped because of raging Police and Court stupidity. The DA in that district is a idiot that thinks he needs to be "tough on crime". This should have been thrown away the second the officer turned it in, but new laws require them to pursue everything a cop turns in.
I personally have nothing but contempt for the joke that is our judicial and legal system.
No it's apple's way. In the main lobby there is a crane machine that allows you as an apple employee randomly pick any one of the prototypes and take it home without telling anyone... This new iPhone... everyone got one for easter.. Jobs was handing them out like candy 6 weeks ago, "Hey Lumpy! take 4 of these for your kids and family!... prototype iphones for everybody...."
I love Steve, he rides through the office on his segway every day....
You should see the 3rd gen iPad I got last week, they are Soooooo Cool!
WElcome to America... well most any country in general. The human condition is "mine mine mine, gimmie gimmie gimmie"
you lost something expensive, someone steals it.
Honestly Cellphone theft goes on daily, which is stupid because a stolen phone is 100% worthless (unless it's a secret prototype) When it's reported gone phone companies blacklist the ESN and that phone can never be used at a phone again.
I had a friend lose a iPhone, he called and had it blacklisted. he got a call about 4 months later from a angry ebay buyer wanting his money back because the phone would not work. (idiot never remotely wiped the phone so his contact info was still in it)
He told the guy to ship it to him and he would refund his money... he got the phone, and a angry call about not getting any money back..
I have 3 HD movies on a 16 gig thumb drive here. They all look fantastic on a 42" set. Mpeg4 compression done the right way from a clean source works GREAT. Oh and I downconverted the audio to 5.1 AC3 audio... I have yet to find a person that can hear and see the difference from the original and the ripped version. Quantum of Solace, Transformers and Watchmen are what I used for testing ripped directly from bluray discs.
Um no. Citrix will eat it's self if you get more than 100 connections to it on a single 4 processor quad core monster server (this set of Dell Poweredge R910 servers were utter monsters! I wished they would have bought 100 blades instead of getting the big pigs.) when I maintained the citrix farm here I had 20 servers, and updating an app meant updating 20 servers.
If you can reduce your windows needs to a few apps, then go ubuntu on all desktops and have VNC servers running the few windows machines that host the needed windows apps. Make a Open source " citrix farm" or do it more properly with some of the solutions mentioned in http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/04/16/001224
Far easier than trying to get random hardware to have universal restore images.
Problem is MOST corporations don't want to hire Skilled and experienced workers at the top of the pay scale. They prefer to try and get the MCSE certificate holder that cant manage a Domain for $18.00 an hour, and then hire a few brain dead PC techs at $12.00 an hour because they can get them all day long from ITT tech and the other Cert mills.
I used to manage a state wide 5 office windows network with all windows machines. I had 6 staff under me for 20 servers and 500 workstations and laptops. we were understaffed but we got the job done. But all of us were highly skilled and the most junior guy had only 6 years experience with this stuff. That is drastically different that what I saw elsewhere. I noticed that many places hired only green Cert holders because they were a LOT cheaper. They ended up paying a lot more because they have to hire more of these use-less people and downtime is far higher for them.
Most people equate a windows shop with lots of people because most companies are ran by idiots that wont hire based on experience and actually pay for it. They offer wages that even a 5 year highly skilled veteran wont even touch. I know guys that are IT gurus that are doing construction work because they get paid more.
It's going to have super high res 4K sensors! that will extend the range to 300 meters.... in bright noon time lighting.... Oops most crime is at night and even the best HD camera sensors cant see 10 feet in less than 12 lux. a typical street is 3 lux and a bar is 8 lux...
so when the thing is NEEDED to record it will record nothing usable.
Exactly, Fighting a drunk guy is like Dojo practice in slow motion. I cant believe how delays and telegraphed even a "skilled fighter" is when drunk off his ass.
I usually simply give them more momentum, I dont defend myself, I simply help them contact the floor or tables under their own power. Nothing like helping a guy throwing a punch by taking a leg out from under him and a quick push on the shoulder to make him eat a bar stool with his face.
"Hey buddy you alright?" is good to say after he does that..

In Texas they give them to you when you buy a bottle of liquor.
Why because you were too lazy to update your AV software from a year ago?
ClamAV did the right thing, they could have simply shoved out the new AV database that would have had your AV crash with a wierd error, because your horribly out of date version was incompatible with the new larger database format. but no they made sure you had a informative error so you would know what to do.
But it's their fault and OSS fault... DAMN THOSE OSS PEOPLE!
what was fun was mooning and flipping people off from the back seat in the station wagon. Dad cant see what you are doing and he wonder why everyone passing is honking at him and flipping him off.
P.S. doing it to a cop will get you in trouble.

they are a far better choice than 12 college graduate lawyers that think they are educated but really know nothing about technology.
Honestly, I have met a lot of lawyers and they firmly believe they know everything because they went to a lot of college.

My favorite was to change the language file and make "ready" be "insert coin"...

It seems that a LOT of people care looking at the comment count so far...
Just because you are a sociopath does not mean everyone else is.
R people dont put effort into things like that. HR barely verifies education.
The iphone by default allows you to set a passcode and a auto wipe after 10 passcode attempts. The engineer probably did not bother with that.
In fact most people are too lazy to turn that function on.
WElcome to America... well most any country in general. The human condition is "mine mine mine, gimmie gimmie gimmie"

AnyDVD-HD for the BREAKING of the protection. You cant rip with AnyDVD.
I then use RipBot264 to have an all in one Ripping setup. works great.
Nope, Just a lunch drink.... you cant smell it on your breath.

What is your pay? what is your experience?

So that means they cant use the ezpass lane camera footage to get me for bypassing the toll booths! COOL! I never gave them permission to record me!!
I suspect your interpetation of the law is outdated or incorrect, otherwise the news and all Chicago webcams are illegal.

Fifth of Vodka? here's your free handgun!
It's why I suspect it's not a real thing.
If I was apple I'd use the iphone service that will show me the GPS location of the phone and send the cops to go get the stolen prototype.
MobileMe has had this functionality for a while now. I am CERTAIN that a real apple prototype would be compatible with that.
Nice FUD. the new DB will break it anyways.. and YES microsoft does this.
They crafted a DB update that used that bug to deliver a message so the logs showed you what happened instead of a "seg fault - error in line 45867"
Why because you were too lazy to update your AV software from a year ago?
